BEST DEVICE EVER
Purchased this Amiga scart cable and was i pleased I did . I have not played on my Amiga 600 for many many years. This cable worked first time and extremely well. Great picture on my TV with great sound. Reliving my youth with great games like ZOOL....PINBALL DREAMS....DESERT STRIKE and too many more to mention. 😊Thanks ever so much Andy and Sue for providing a first class service and a great device.

Super sharp picture with de-interlacing on most LCD TVs
Works exactly as advertised. An additional bonus is that most (but not all) modern LCD TVs are able to de-interlace the Amiga's high resolution modes to give a rock steady 640x512 image. Back in the day this would have required eye-wateringly expensive flicker-fixer hardware and a VGA monitor. It's uncanny to see a stock A500 output such sharp hi-res graphics on a cheap TV.

Does the job.
So it does the job well. But instead of the manufacturer using the cheap db25 and cutting off the last 2 pins to make DB23, they could have and should used a DB23 which is readily available online. Would have shown off the quality then. But cutting off a DB25 shows poor quality and shortcuts.

A little tight
I am using this on an A1200 and it works perfectly. Its a little tight fitting in the back which I is a plus as it wont fall out easily. The only scart plug I have plugged it into so far has been a Scart to HDMI converter and it was a little fiddly getting it in but this could be down to the converter socket as well. But once in it produced a good picture on my computer monitor.

High quality, arrived earlier than expected
I ordered this for my CDTV and wasn't disappointed. The cable arrived very quickly, earlier than Amazon said it would. My only concern before ordering was the use of a cut down 25 socket connector, and whether it would be a bodge job, but I can confirm that the socket has been expertly trimmed down and fits snugly in the 23 pin CDTV connector. The entire cable is very well made and I am delighted with my purchase.

Nice replacement to the A520
I bought this so I can keep my A520s nice and tidy for the future. I did have a lot of issues getting it to work with more modern TVs, they just would not pick up the SCART signal even my trusty SCART to HDMI did not see it. So I thought the cable was dodgy and requested a refund but as a last-ditch attempt I used an old big box TV and it worked totally fine. So not sure what is up with that. CoolNovelties may be best looking into RGB or SVIDEO as those are more forwards compatible and can be upscaled with HDMI easier as they are more raw signal inputs. That is not the reason it drops a star though. It loses a star because of a design flaw when using it on the A600; the clamping screws on the hacked DB25 connector blocks you from plugging in the left audio cable. Not sure on the availability of connectors of this type but surely DB25s that come without clamping screws must exist, A careful cut with a hacksaw and it does work fine with the A600. Given they are hacksawing two pins off the DB25 why not hack off the clamps too?
