This was an ideal replacement for the motor in our +/- 10 year old Pleasant Hearth L-20 fireplace. Quick and easy replacement. Maybe 20 minutes total - including prying one bottom wood plank off the log assembly to get at the wires and motor - and then reassembly. Economical and works great.

We bought this for our Febo Flame electric fireplace when the flame rod motor stopped working. It works and we're happy that our fireplace is finally back together and working, but since this is a bi-directional motor, we need to turn the fireplace on and back off TWO TIMES before the flames go in the right direction, up from the logs instead of down to them. My husband is trying to find a way to make a switch so it changes to ccw automatically without having to power cycle. We're very pleased that this was an option instead of buying a whole new fireplace. The only thing that was a little disappointing is the shipping took a little while, but it was shipped by the seller and not Amazon and I don't think there was anything that could have been done to get it to us faster.Update: After having the fireplace running for the last few days, the motor has been going in the right direction the past three times we've turned it on without having to power cycle it. We are very pleased with this and are changing our rating to 5 stars.

Decided to try this motor for our electric fireplace (Febo) to replace the one that came in it since it stopped working. It was very easy to install and works perfectly. I am like the other reviewers though, I wish it would only go CCW but it's a small sacrifice to have our fireplace working again.

The media could not be loaded. I need to made it fit, need some DIY. A bit noisy, but the biggest problem is that it works inverse must of the time. Not always… so I know I didn’t wire it wrong. Still a good deal for the price, but I wish they had said about that.

I bought this after reading the reviews for the same fireplace....It is open wired ...but it is easy to install ..mark the wire as the same as the old one and you should have no problem with the rotation as I did...there a black and white wires from manufacturer...but this comes with blue wires..so just fallow the wire and you will be ok...works perfectly

These are CW CCW rotation. You can NOT choose which direction it will start when power is applied.I had to return them. I need CCW rotation only.

Keeps reverseing directions no way to control it or keep it going one way or other
