Super-simple, low latency, 14 channels (auto-selects best one)
I play out just about every weekend (I'm a bass player) with a variety of instruments, both passive and active, made in 1983 through 2023. I've used, very successfully, the Fiddlerman FWS-10 for a couple of years without having a backup / replacement wireless system, so after a lot of research I settled in on the Bose WL-20L, primarily because of the 7-hour receiver battery life, the small size of the units, and the fact that EVERYTHING is auto-magic with them, including selecting the best channel available out of 14. I know there are some guitars / devices it won't work properly with because the little button next to the 1/4" jack isn't very long and it's used to turn the unit on and off, but it works with my tuner pedal, my Fender Rumble amps, and all five of my basses. Latency is absolutely negligable, the unit operates quietly, with great tone on both active and passive basses (just a slight tinge of crispness on passive basses). Some people have said that it makes a clicking noise. I can get it to do that too, if I PUT MY PHONE RIGHT NEXT TO THE RECEIVER OR IN MY POCKET ON THE TRANSMITTER SIDE OF MY BODY (don't do that, silly)., as it will interfere with the connection with the transmitter. The other key to having a great experience with this unit is to make sure everyone else has their wireless devices on before you plug your transmitter into your receiver to have it select a channel automagically (takes 10 seconds). You have more channels available to you with your Boss unit than they do with their puny human units, so it makes sense to choose last, and the Bose unit does a great job scanning the environment and getting you a clean channel. This is a fantastic, gig-worthy wireless system which is now my #1. No tone issues. No dropouts. No latency issues. No battery life issues (wish it was replaceable, but oh well). No range issues. It just works and you don't have to worry about it at all. Yes, like a lot of Bose stuff, it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I need a reliable system to use 35-40 times a year playing out with my band, and that's exactly what I got in the Bose WL-20L.

Impressive!
Surprised and quite pleased at how well this wireless system functions. Unbeatable range, even around concrete walls in different rooms! No recognized latency, and both volume and tone appear unaffected. Unbeatable value with typical Boss build quality and durability. Highly recommend!!

Doesn’t work well with active pickups
I purchased this primarily to use with acoustic guitars having active pickup systems. It doesn’t work well with active pickups, so if that’s a deal killer, don’t buy these. My Breedlove has a battery pack at the input jack, and there’s a steady tick-tick-tick noise coming out of the amp/soundboard. If I put a dead 9v battery in the guitar, the transmitter/receiver works well - except I’m no longer using the guitar’s active system. I have an Anthem transducer/piezo pickup on my 12 string, and it produces a noticeable squeal, caused by incompatible grounding. If I touch the transmitter when it’s in place, the squeal goes away because I’m acting as ground. If I clip a metal capo on the guitar’s strap knob/input jack, it greatly reduces the squeal. I can EQ out the squeal on a soundboard, but that affects overall sound quality. This transmitter/receiver combo works great on a passive magnetic pickup. Excellent range, good sound quality and the batteries last a long time. Just make sure of what you’re going to use them for.FYI - Using a short length of TSR cable between the guitar and transmitter doesn’t work. I’m keeping these because they work great with my archtop, which has a floating humbucker. Definitely worth the money for that purpose.

For practice, yes. For gig, no.
I've had a lot of Boss gear over the years and made this purchase to be a quick and easy wireless connection from guitar to amp. It's definitely that--very quick, easy to use, and sounds great. I've used it for about a year during practice. However, when on larger gigs where there are 5+ wireless mics, and tons of other wireless gear, it doesn't cut it. Even with less than 5 feet between the transmitter and receiver, it cuts in and out. I've tried resetting the wifi channel (disconnecting and plugging the trans and rec together for about 10 seconds so it can find the clearest channel) several times with all the other wifi running and it still cuts out. Here's the bottom line--if you're going to use it for practice and small club gigs, it will probably be fine. If you're playing in a pro setting with a lot of other wifi gear, you need to go with pro gear; the 20L doesn't cut it. I'm selling mine.

They don't last
I loved this at first..It's awesome being wireless..however, this lasted about 12 shows before fizzling out. I charged them after every show. after the 10th show, I had to start having a cable back up ready..and then I finally gave up after the last show as they lasted around 15 mins. If these things are not reliable, they are useless. I will never buy these again

Better than xvive
I was using xvive but it's battery life was only 4 hours and it started getting shorter till I had to have the receiver plugged into the charger while playing. The Boss unit can be charged with one normal charge cable instead of a Y cable and it's battery life will last for two 3 hour shows in the same day, which is something I do from time to time. It's got a good low end response (I play upright so that's important for low G thru E). It sounds the same as plugging in thru a cable. I'm happy so far. I've been using it for a few months now. Also no moving parts which was a weakness of the xvive unit who's outer housing broke during a show.
