Wonderful Informative Book
This book is a great source of information and it really works! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Please see my comment to C.Simpson's review.I used 'sole drinking therapy' for my irregular heartbeat over a few weeks and rarely feel it any more, if I do I will just start taking the sole drink for a short while until I feel happy about it again. I believe it also raised my low blood pressure up to 'ideal'.Himalayan sea salt has many benefits to the body and a home made jar of 'salt sole' should be part of every first aid kit. It is a cheap alternative to pills and ointments and is completely natural. Sea salt especially Himalayan salt has been used for healing for thousands of years and is nothing new. It is the way forward.....I also recommend it to my clients.Carol WassGrayshott Therapies

ok
indeed lots of pseudo-science, no references is given at all, apart from a few names of scientist, but they give lots of book references at the end, at least when you make money with a book, you could set the references right!the 1st chapter about health is indeed very true, although about water it does not take some stuff into account and is not holistic, no mentionned about Bioelectronic of Vincent and Jeanne Rousseau (but it's french and not sure it has beent translated) no mentionned at all of Quinton (Rene, although french) but i can correlate a lot of what is said with all the research and stuff i've read. but i think lots of assumption is made. 2.5 stars i would say, would i recommend it, i think it has been useful for me to see a different point of view but i know the wrongs from the rights so for a newbie i think it is good but won't be able to see through it though. for a advanced user..well maybe. The part on the salt was a bit new to me, interesting, especially to know the differences between the salts, looks like the Crystal structure is important and give advice to the only good source of himalyan salt, a big chapter on Fidji water as the best water in the world, which is not! once bottled anyway...many variable to take in consideration. i think this book is aimed at the American market so lots of marketing photos with half naked women so targeting Spa business i reckon, all in ounces/gallons. Very surprised as German are usually very square and not slack in their references and stuff...so you need a bit of experience in the new age world to see through it. It states for example that pasteurised milk given to Calves died after 3 weeks, famous Oxford study but frankly i don't want to waist 2h on the internet to try to find it! It states Alexis Carrel proved the heart is a Turbine and not a pumped but i'm reading his book and can't find that!anyway some of it will be of use to me, if you can get cheap yes interesting, it gives you all salt dilution protocole to try on you and for many disease which i will try, and explain not scientifically why this salt is bio-available for body when normal rock salt is not as it is mineral, like mineral in water is not absorbed by the body.

Not an ounce of substance in this book, were they paid to write this by Fiji bottled water or the himalayan salt industry? Or both? There may be benefits to drinking salt water, but very spurious science.Quote - "A group of cats were kept in a room with artificial light and fed exclusively foods and water that had been heated in a microwave oven. The animals had an abundant variety of food. However, they all died of starvation after one month" oh really...

Nonsense
Doesn't even deserve one star. This book is a complete waste of money. It looks good and promises much but delivers a great deal of pseudo science and concepts plucked from the air. It makes statements as though they are facts but has no backing for these statements. There is no future in this type of approach.

Valuable for understanding healthy water
I bought this book years ago and must have given it away. Wanted it again as it was so foundational for my own improvements in health. After 2 years of my own vices I want the reminders in it to help me back to a healthier me. Being kind to water was one of the most surprising lessons in the book…sounded crazy, but worth checking out!

Water and Salt, the Essence of Life
This is a wonderful book which has lots of good information and tips about how to keep healthy and heal oneself using live water and salt. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge of the nature of cellular health and well-being.

extraordinarly valuable health information
"When water and salt emerge, a new dimension is created" If you think about it, we walk around carrying our own ocean with us! Most of the fluids inside us are basically mirror images of various concentrations of sea water. everyone is familiar with the formulas H2O or NaCl which are seemingly very simple. The premise of this book is that this "chemical point of view alone falls short: water and salt are much more than mere chemical fformulas" that "The chemical and biochemical attributes of water and salt arise from a series of far reaching biophysical and energetic interactions." There is a lot of metaphysical aspects covered in the book (who knows!) Very nicely illustrated with lots of practical advice and health applications.by the way, I interviewed a man who has some amazing practical applications for health, using these principles. just type in "water salt and grass" on the search window of iTunes store to hear this free podcast interview

Fun to Read
I enjoyed reading this book. It presents intriguing ideas, such as water retaining vibrations (good or bad), and spring water having special energy as opposed to tap water. It is relatively high-priced for a softcover book, but it's a beautiful book that's well written with great pictures. If it inspires you to drink more water and less unhealthy stuff (energy drinks, soda pop), it's worth the price. Before you drink that bottled water or touch that salt shaker, read WATER & SALT!
