I've gone through a number of come-a-longs installing RTT and I finally had enough of worn down teeth and cable slippage do to the bad teeth. This hoist is awesome and the remote works great. My tent is 130# but hanging from the end of my home made crane the weight increases significantly and the hoist has no issues.

Works well but i have safety concerns with it. I use mine to draw inoperative cars up an incline into the shop to work on them. Needs a remote so you can stand at a safe location instead of over the winch if the connection comes lose or the cable breaks while using.

Gears bound up after two times using it. Trying to find parts seems impossible. No one from Amazon can give me a number to call or email to DIYAREA! I’m trying talk to the seller about there 1 year warranty..

I saw another winch that someone said was loud. This didn’t have that in the reviews.Im using in the hall in my apartment. I just got an ebike. Its super heavy for me by myself. LoL. Inopted to see about one of these.Im hoping that it will do what i want without trouble. Im sure it can lift the bike. Its just the staircase is corner-ish. I tried to lower the hook just now as a trial run before I bring the bike down and try to get it back up. It goes at a good pace; not too fast, not too slow. Its just louder than id like or expected.

Remote is very important! Don't know how strong this hoist really is but it pulled an 87 Nissan hardbody up onto a trailer and later raised one side of the truck bed. Life saver but stay out of the danger areas between the hoist and what's being pulled or lifted. Remote is absolutely necessary for safety. Also, a winch blanket or two or a substitute like a heavy coat to hang at each end of the cable is said to keep the cable from hitting you or someone close by if it comes loose or breaks. This winch has a nifty little remote. You'll need 23A 12V batteries for the remote. Yes there are buttons on the hoist but you really NEED THAT REMOTE :)

Arrived promptly and worked great just out-of-the-box, only problem I had was when they translated the instructions into English I find it very difficult to read and understand. However the video on Amazon site showed me about everything I needed to know about the winch therefore the instructions were no problem.
