Seed Oils
I love this oil and it makes a great ranch dressing. But I was starting to think I needed to give it up because of all of this information coming out on seed oils (e.g., Dr. Mercola.). There has been a lot of debate about oils over the past decades and I decided this time I’m going to go take a deep dive into the evidence based medicine and see what human studies said about it. I found an excellent article written by Dr. Ruscio entitled, “Toxic or Harmless? What Seed Oils Are & Why You Don’t Need to Be Afraid.” And I encourage you to look it up because Dr. Ruscio gives many links in that article to studies in the national library of medicine that are human & evidence based —and they actually demonstrated that intake of seed oils lowered the risk of coronary heart disease. In fact, one meta analysis (Dietary Linoleic Acid and Risk of Coronary Heart Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Prospective Cohort Studies) contained human studies that showed arachidonic acid (AA) (many of the anti-seed oil people claim LA gets converted into AA) did not raise markers of inflammation. Moreover, it stated that human studies did not show an increase of cancer risk either. If you follow science as closely as I do you will start to notice a trend where the findings of the experts of today are routinely disproven by the experts of tomorrow. It happens all the time. My blood lipid profile has been excellent despite the fact that I use tons of this oil, literally (I make a mean ranch dressing and use about a third of a cup of it on a large salad three times a week)— and I am 62 years old. So I have decided to just sit back and watch the “experts” duke it out while enjoying my safflower oil based ranch dressing. Before sacrificing all of your seed oils I encourage everyone to do their own research. Look at evidence based studies that have been done on humans.

Fantastic Oil
We home-cook our dog food and mix some of this into the recipe once the food has cooled, to bring up the vitamin e. Great product.

High temp frying and trying to avoid any oil with rapeseed in it? Here’s an answer.

Rancid oil broke me out!
I've used enough of other brands of safflower oil to know that it shouldn't smell strong enough to make you gag. Still I used it twice because I thought "it's just manufactured a little differently." No, tell that to my burning, peeling, broken out skin. Never again will I buy from you. The very least an oil seller should do is not sell rancid, oxidated oil.

Good for Wildebeests
My wildebeests love this stuff. I pour it on them and they roll around in it, making this weird satisfied WILDEBEEST sound, which is almost impossible to describe. Once you've heard it, you never forget. It's rather disgusting, but the lamplighters in Camden swear by it.
