Great value! A basic laptop with a new SSD hard drive!
I needed an inexpensive laptop to use as a data logger for my solar system. This did the trick!

Amazing product
I love Lenovo, and this one works really good. As someone said before, you cannot believe this is not new.

Dead on arrival! Great disappointment.
This laptop was plugged into a working wall outlet with the power cord that was included in its packaging. NOTHING -- NOT EVEN A FLICKER OF LIGHT. I AM RETURNING THIS TO THE SELLER (LAPRO in Texas, which also uses the name TECHLOTS LLC) and I will edit the review when I find out whether or not I receive my refund. This seller includes some very strong language in the return label instructions, so I am wondering whether this is a scam. Stay tuned! I will let the community know and I will rate the seller accordingly. Meanwhile, good luck. I have had good luck myself with two refurbished computers purchased in the past, so I hope for "better luck next time."

Meh
Laptop worked well for several days, but now has multiple glaring issues. The speakers make a horrible high-pitched noise that could scare off a pack of wild dogs miles away. I cannot mute it, it’s a systemic problem and happens AT ALL TIMES unless I have headphones plugged in. Then everything is fine. Still, awful. If certain file types are downloaded and they’re above 5gb or so, the computer just crashes. Instant blue screen. Again, I can work around this, but it’s pretty unacceptable. These problems don’t make the computer useless, but they make the low 130 dollar price tag more understandable. I’d feel more ripped off, but the laptop is reasonably fast, and cheap.I can see why the reviews on here are mixed. I’ll keep using this laptop and deal with the awful noise because I just need anything halfway operable right now. But this was disappointing. You get what you pay for

So Far So Good
First and foremost the laptop works as advertised. Shipping was great within a simple secure package. i can not act like i am not impressed by the condition. Very minmal wear and tear. I've heard some horror stories about refurbished T series Lenovo laptops but I am satisfied so far. This is my first night so we'll see what happens. But if everything goes good I would continue to follow the seller"s company for other products/services.Update10.15.19: So far it has been pretty functional with no issues with the hardware but the windows update hinders me from using my Bluetooth devices which resulted in me having to revert back to the previous version of Windows 10. I couldn't play a DVD in windows media player which is odd so I had to download another player specific to DVDs. Also I will eventually need to get a new battery for there is a noticeable bulge in the provided battery. I get rather a 5 to 6 hour charge which is fine. My issues are more about the software which has nothing to do with the seller of the refurbished hardware. With that being said still so far so good for the seller of the hardware but Microsoft needs to improve there issues.Update 11/18/19: I am still pleased with my t440p laptop. This thing is heavy duty.

Fast but poorly refurbished.
Has no operational camera since day one. For some unknown reason, this ThinkPad just shuts down in the middle of operating! Very unnerving in the middle of writing a document.

Very solid value
PROS:The Lenovo T440 laptop arrived on time and in very good condition. Everything was almost like new condition, except a few cosmetic abrasions on top of lid; but it functions very well.i5 dual-core w/8GB RAM, 14" screen for $250 is a very solid value IMO.Runs virtual machines faster than my 3 year old HP laptop with i3 quad-core 8GB RAM 250GB SSDSupport from seller (LAPROS) was also solid. They spent a considerable amount of time helping to answer some questions I had.Laptop wouldn't keep time initially, but after it had been in service for a few days, it kept perfect time/date. I've had this happen with other electronics that were in storage for a long time, and it took a few days of being powered up to work properly. When I called to send it back, seller ran through some troubleshooting to get a good idea what might be wrong, and ultimately they said they'd be happy to exchange it if I wanted to. Ultimately, it has kept rock solid time for the last 2 months. It continues to perform just as it did when I finally got it all set up. Flawlessly. Be aware, the power brick gets quite hot.Would buy from LAPROS again.CONS:Old BIOS version. 7 years old if memory serves correctly. I believe the most current one is from March 2021. There are 6 CVEs that are addressed with this update.NOTE: Updating BIOS resulted in DVD drive not being recognized by the BIOS - not the seller's fault. Iwrite this to save others a ton of wasted time - so the solution was to install Win7 Pro on it, then DVD function returned immediately (to be clear, I installed Win7 and then formatted the drive, and installed Win10 over top, and all was well again). Can't even begin to explain why that worked. Was thrilled that it did, though. It had an unusual issue with dual-booting Mint20 and Win10pro. I could boot into Windows only once, and never again. The solution was to run Win10 in VirtualBox. This is a better configuration since it affords better security, and I won't use Windows unless the situation forces me to, so I'm perfectly happy with this setup.

Best price best service
They give value. I received a not so good one but upon contacting them, they replaced it without hesitation. That's the service I was looking for and probably everyone else too.
