Perfect for the home or a gift
I’m giving this as a Christmas gift and really think they will love it. It’s great quality. I can’t speak for it’s accuracy however it looks so nice in the home that either way it’s a hit! It arrived safely in a box with thick styrofoam packaging. It’s a little pricey but I would recommend.

Nice for ambiance but that's about it
It's a beautiful piece - however, because of the shape of the glass, it makes it difficult to read unless you are facing exactly forward to the flat surface (and a good portion of the sides are not flat). So if you are sitting and look at it from an angle, you could probably see how many glasses are floating, but if you want to read them be prepared to get very close up, and squint, and maybe try to shake one floating away from the sides where it's impossible to read.I returned it because of that frustration - I want something beautiful to see from all angles - but that's just me. It's really an attractive piece, and unlike any other designs I've seen.

Perfect temperature.
The media could not be loaded. I have always loved these! They look so fancy and they serve a function.I like to keep and eye on the temperature of my plant room. This is a non-digital way of doing that while keeping the feng shui of the area.It was shipped very delicately. Lots of protection.Very simple to put together. Just set it on a shelf and admire.

The little floaty things work as well as a calibrated thermometer.
I'm a science teacher and have compared the floats to a calibrated thermometer, and the manufacturers have the floats calibrated to match the thermometer! Unfortunately, when I brought the globe home, this showed that my AC's thermometer was out of whack, and I had to have my AC repaired...

It's OK
I love Galileo Thermometers and have multiple. This I really like the shape and the stand but it is very hard to read accurately. I think due to the shape of this Galileo is why it is so hard to read properly. It looks nice on my desk at work.

Absolutely beautiful.
A Galileo thermometer is not a precision instrument, and it has only a limited range, but it's a beautiful decoration for a desk or shelf. The cherry-wood stand is beautiful. The glass chamber is flattened, so it's about the size and shape of a quarter-pound hamburger. We are pleased with ours.
