MINKA-AIRE F896-65-BNW Xtreme H2O 65 Inch Outdoor Ceiling Fan with DC Motor, Silver Brushed Nickel Wet Finish

Needed outdoor patio fan and wanted quality and quiet. Got both. Looks amazing and runs great and the remote is a nice addition.

I love the fan's appearance, quietness, air flow, and light. But a fan sold at this price should come with a second longer down rod. It should also include a light kit at no additional cost. $489 for the fan, and then an additional $91 for the light kit is a rip off and bad business. But great that the dimmer control is already built into the electrical system so you need not have to wire and then try to squeeze one of those dimmer control units into the mounting hardware in the ceiling box. I opted not to pay Minka Aire additional money, though, for a longer down rod which should have come with the unit and will live with the short one that comes with the fan. PS, My wife likes it closer to the ceiling.

Beautiful ceiling fan, hard to see in the pic but we have two, one by the fireplace and one out under a pavilion. These are not only stylish but make a statement. Very nice fan!!!

The fan arrived well, and the installation went well (no complications). The fan operated well, was nice looking, and had great airflow- this means at the highest speed installed in our covered outdoor patio papers on our table below it would fly off. However, on the 9th day, it quit working, just like that. We tried all the troubleshooting instructions and nothing. We called minkaAire technical support and Chris told us the receiver would need to be changed INSIDE THE MOTOR. I told Chris we did not feel comfortable opening the motor. He replied either that or return it. His customer service needs polishing since he was rather annoyed at my call. Overall, we are frustrated and displeased with minkaAire. We threw away the fan box and now need to uninstall it, dismantle it, and return it. No replacement is currently available. Adding to the annoyance. I can't recommend this product for its short life span and crass customer service.

I spent a lot of time researching and contemplating what type fans to buy for my new outdoor space due to the humidity and heat in Mississippi during the summers. Through a lot of research, I settled on the Minka Aire H20 Extreme. I had them professionally installed by my contractor. The fans live up to all expectation and then some. For the reviewers that are complaining about not feeling any air flow, they must either have the fans mounted really high or not working properly because these fans move a ton of air! They are also whisper quiet when running even on the highest setting. The only noise is the wind generated by the fans. They are very stylish, efficient, and make the Mississippi heat disappear. My two fans are 10 feet off the ground and you can feel plenty of air movement even on the lower settings. Don't hesitate or think twice, these fans are just as advertised.

Replaced a 10 year old minka fan. Kept the same hardware and downrod and this is 10x better. Looks great as well.

This my 8th (or more) Minke-Aire fan and they perform smoothly, quietly, and effectively for many years. Box store fans seem to deteriorate after a year or two and begin to wobble, hum, click and make you wish you had made a better decision. This is especially the larger diameter fans and fans installed outside. You do pay more for this brand but they last much longer than other brands and eliminates additional purchases, additional installations, and sending old fans to the landfill.
