Easier than I thought it would be
I was nervouse about the whole procedure but it wasn't that bad, and my new hair color is so natural looking.I had alot of gray hair to cover and it is all gone. i bought the auburn color and I did it yesterday so iam not even 24 hours after yet, i have noticed that the scent has calmed down already. i would cedscribe the mell as a smoky green tea,its not unpleasant.I used cocnut oil on my face and ears, and i do not have any staining on my skin , of course I did wipe it all off as soon as i could. The first dye didn't add enough of the hot water so after it sat for an hour when I was rubbing it onto my hair and scalp it was alittle thick. i covered my head with aplastic bag and the a shower capand it sat for an hour. After i rinsed it out with just water I was really happy already with my color it was this pretty shade of orange copper, and it really did show me how much gray i do now have on my head.So I let my second henna sit for three hours, i use a small radiator heater in my home so I set it on its lowest settingand let the henna sit on it with a plastic bag right on top of the mixture. This henna i added some more boiling hot water to it until I liked the texture and it looked like it would rub in easier. The second henna worked into my hair and scalp much easier and it wasn't too messy I had a dark towl to wipe my hands on and i reuse these gloves that I have had for over a year.I didn't use a tool other than my hands to rub the henna into my hair and scalpand i worked it in very well, all of my hair is now colored.I again covered my head with plastic bags and my shower cap and let it all sit for three hours. When i washed it out the product was still damp on my head and it rinsed out easy i then used my conditioner to wash it out of my hair more so.I was so excited to see the color, and I do love it , they say that the true color will develop fully in about four days . I chose auburn and my hair had about 4 months of gray roots and the length was an red shade from the chemical dyes that i have used in the last ten years. I noticed that the henna did not give my scalp a burning senstion like the chem dye did, and i did not have as much hairloss with the whole process , there was some but not alot .My hair has been getting thinner in the last year, so i decided to give up the chem dyes and i researched on line and I am now taking alma powder and false daisy poder in my smoothies and I have had success with the rice water treatments. Iam now going to use the henna only to dye my hair , it was worth the time and effort and i like the way it smells when I compaire it to the stink from the chem dye. The next time that i dye I will mix up the second dye first and then two hours later mix up the first henna, so that my time will be better used .I hope this helps with any questions you may have , i do recomend this item

Light Mountain Henna - Color the Grey
I like the product Light Mountain henna color the grey. I have used it for used and get compliments all the time on the color. I am disappointed because I ordered color the grey - Auburn. I got Red. I sent it back and ordered Auburn again. The 2nd order was also Red, and I sent it back. I was frustrated and found the product on their website and ordered directly.

Application was annoying, works great!
Applying it took a long time and it has to be done in two stages. It's a messy process and makes your hair smell like bunny food. However, the color lasted me four months and I got TONS of compliments.

Henna
I was going to use this. it certainly is a better alternative to chemical dyes .henna is actually good for your hair . I wasn't able to use it though . the color strand test turn out neon orange. With just henna after 4 hours . Then I added the auburn dye over the henna and it toned it down a bit . But not enough to cut the blaze orange. My hair is white .So I'm sure that had a lot to do with the out come . I'm sure it would look amazing on darker colored hair .if you like red tone highlights . This would be the one to choose .

My hair looks awesome with no harsh and harmful chemicals.
I am beyond happy with this product. So out of nowhere last Novemeber I had a severe reaction to the hair color I had used for 10 years. It was a professional brand my sister as a hair dresser got me into. You know the ones that smell intense, tingle a bit but give great color, with chemicals. Well I colored my hair and ended up with second degree burns from that color and a reaction called "q-tip head," my eyes swelled shut, had a hard time breathing, was weeping mass amounts of lymph fluid from my scalp and eventually I ended up in the ER. Since then I have patch tested everything out there and everything broke me out until I returned to good old henna. I used to henna my hair as a teen. I was unsure it would cover my almost 80% white hair, but it did. I will say this, it was an all day event and I had my bf help me out with the whole process. But next time believe I can go it alone. We used yogurt on step 2 after the 3 hours of curing. I kept microwaving a wet towel to keep heat on it and kept step 2 on for a little over an hour. My hair felt great after and still does. I have followed advice online and not shampooed it, but I have curly hair and literally use shampoo maybe twice a month anyway, my hair eats conditioner. and I am not putting a bunch of hot water on my head either.I am so happy with this product, it smells very earthy and I liked that. I had absolutely no reaction whatsoever to this product. I am so happy I can color my hair again. Thank you Light Mountain color the grey yalls product rocks !!

Fantastic product! I wouldn't leave home without it!
I have been using this product for years. Although it's a bit time consuming, the results are worth it. Beautiful hair colored the shade I want with no toxic chemicals!

first time user, very easy for a man to do :)
I got tired of looking a lot older than I felt, I felt good about this product because it was botanicals. I do not like chemicals. Just be aware that for me it took 1 hour for part 1 and 2 hours for part 2. I just got on the computer and it was done. since it is botanical, it is kind of clumpy and messy. I wish they'd include a plastic cap and larger gloves, that is more because I have big paws. Very satisfied and done by myself.

WRONG COLOR STATED!
The first step was fine, the second step ELIMINATED EVERY BIT OF RED COLOR from my hair. I'm DEVASTATED! Before and after photos. I can only hope going back to the normal henna will restore the red/auburn color.
