The Stillwater Girls

I really enjoyed this book. It kept your attention throughout. The writers descriptions was so detail. It was like you were watching a movie. You can visualize what the reader was talking about. I loved the ending!

I stumbled across this book while looking through Kindle book deals on Amazon and went into this read with no previous knowledge of the storyline or the book’s reviews. If I had taken time to read previous reviews, I likely would have given this one a hard pass so I’m so glad I chose to jump on this one blind.The two revolving storylines were so different that it was hard to see at first how they could possibly come together. The characters were very relatable and it was easy to fall into Sage and Wren’s story as well as that of Nicolette and Brant and, as their storylines began to merge, there was a level of mystery and suspense that kept me wanting more.The final reveal was completely unpredictable and somewhat hard to grasp but, the cadence and suspense leading up to it carried enough momentum to keep my attention all the way through to the end.This is my first Minka Kent read but certainly won’t be my last.

Wow, what an incredible thriller!!! I read this book in one day and enjoyed every minute of it. If you love an unpredictable and engaging narrative you will get a thrill out of The Stillwater Girls by Minka Kent.

The merge was excellent, I really wasn't expecting it! Beautiful writing with attention to details but they didn't bog down the pace of the story. Very enjoyable story even with the heavy plot line. Excellent narration for audio book as well.

Just enough twists to keep it fresh. I enjoyed the thrill of this work. I recommend this book to older teens as well as adults

It's no Verity. I would not call it a thriller at all. Drama-yes. Easy reading. Simple diction. Very nice treatment of the character's development. It has an unexpected plot twist (although not shocking).

I absolutely loved this book!! Had a lot of twists and turns I didn’t expect. One of the best books I’ve read. First time reading a book of this authors and I loved all of it! Great ending!

So much evocative emotions overlaying an incredibly interesting story. Starts with two threads, one a domestic suspense with a perfect marriage cracking and the other a reclusivity type thing with young girls living off the grid suddenly exposed to modern life. It doesn't seem like the threads can join in under 300 pages, but then there are gasp moments and I finished the book within 24 hours. I did predict the secondary final twist, but the main twist was mind-blowing and could have been head-shaking crazy but the author did a fantastic job making it real and the emotional effect was so strong. You won't want to put this book down, but find a private place to enjoy it or you'll have to.
