Mindblowing
The narrative effectively explores the intricacies of various relationships, encompassing marital dynamics, parental responsibilities, and close friendships. The unexpected plot twist generates intrigue and sustains interest until the conclusion, which also hints at the potential for a sequel.

Solid Book About Love and Friendship
This book really kept my attention. Once I got down what kids belonged to which parents and who the couples were, I found myself pretty invested in finding out what happened. The ultimate answer was less climatic than I had hoped but it was still an interesting storyline. The final twist at the end was surprising. One annoyance was that (unless I missed it) there is reference to the 4 girlfriends doing something regrettable on the night of junior prom and then never speaking of it again. It’s only mentioned near the end of the book and then never brought up again. I was expecting that plot point to be revealed at some point but, to my knowledge, it never was. Other than that, a solid 4 star read.

As the title suggests: even the "best of friends" can have issues.
This is a well written book about 3 lifetime friends. Written through each of their point of view, their differences and similarities are accentuated, as well as the relationship between the women. But, ironically, the biggest issue they have to navigate is something that is totally out of their control. Meanwhile each party have their own personal battles.Recommended. A good story about family and friend interactions.

interesting… entertaining
The Best of Friends” by Lucinda Berry is an engaging and entertaining read. The story revolves around three best friends Linsey, Dani, and Kendra and their teenage sons, Sawyer, Jacob, and Caleb. One day, while the boys are hanging out, a tragic incident occurs, leading to the death of one of them. As the parents and police work to uncover what really happened, long-buried secrets come to light, revealing their friendships might fragile and untrustworthy after all.The story was interesting, but I had trouble keeping track of the characters, especially which son belonged to which parent. This is the second book I’ve read by Lucinda Berry, and I think she has a habit of making it a bit tricky to follow. Overall, it was a good story, but the ending wasn’t satisfying, which seems to be another trend with this author. I’m giving it 3 stars, unless there’s a second book to continue the story.

Confusing
This book was so confusing for me. Every chapter was a chapter about a different character, and I just couldn't keep up. The book was still a good book, and so incredibly sad. I guess because I was comparing it to Saving Noah it felt a bit boring to me. I am getting ready to read "When She Returned" right now. Lucinda Berry is definitely one of my favorite authors.

A Moving Story
I’m amazed at the depth of friendship this story portrays. As I read, I was drawn into the complex web of the relationships between these women and their family members. I was not expecting the ending.

The Best of Friends
This is a twisting tale of best friends who grew up together and had children together. With that are the twists and turns of children, marriage and death. The stories all interweaving to solve the mystery of a tragic event that will forever change their lives. Really great read!

I liked this
Lucinda never disappoints. I enjoyed this and the tension between the multiple families. The epilouge wasnt needed though. I finished this faster than i have many books so far this year.

Ótimo!
Gostei da maneira que a amizade foi tratada. De maneira real, com erros e acertos as vezes uma certa inveja. Li em 3 dias.

Wow
Loved this book with its phenomenal emotional ups and downs . The ending kind of surprising, but good. I enjoyed it insofar as a gut-wrenching tale can be so.

Best By Her So Far
The third I've read by this author and by far my favourite. I really enjoyed this a great deal. AND I only spotted one error the whole way through, which may not be considered so in America. She wrote queued twice and not cued. So that made it even more of a delight for me.I was dying to know just what occurred so it really kept my interest the whole way through. However, it is pretty tricky to follow !! I had to open a Note on my phone to record who was married to who and whose kids were whose !! Plus every single chapter is by someone different and I needed to keep flicking back to realise which mother was narrating it. I found it interesting we never learned Kendra and Paul's surname until we were 62% in !! I only spotted this because my Note was incomplete as we'd learned all the others way before this ! They really like their biblical names as well, there, adding to my confusion !It was pretty telling how each of the mums in question managed to make dumb-arsed excuses for their respective son's behaviour. A couple of times it made me gasp !! I didn't "get" the playacting Bryan and Dani did when he was drunk, either, with the car valet. That sailed straight over my head, I'm afraid, however many times I read it back !There are some funny lines and one about crack dealers made me laugh out loud when I reached it, yet there are also some really sad moments, too, but I'm saying no more.I wasn't a fan of the cover as it tells you nothing and wish she'd got a more relatable or eye-catching one but that's her choice, I guess.I have a couple more by her in my wishlist which I am also looking forward to.
