Perfect for home brewing
We wanted to try making mead so I purchased these for the fermentation process. I wanted a wide mouth jar so that we could add fruit and other flavorings like wood chips easily (we used mesh bags for those for easy removal). They work as they should and are a great value.

I loved the wide mouth 1gal glass jar. I rate it a 5-star. I didn't like the flimsy plastic top. The six bubble air valve would not fit in the rubber grommet in the top. High quality 1gal glass jar-- low quality rubber top. Explain this.

Don’t even try to do a melomel without one of these! I used a standard carboy for some time before buying one of these and the difference these have made has made cleaning all the easier! I’ve have since started using these for all of my primary fermentation and my traditional carboy is used for secondary!

Glass Jar
The glass jar is acceptable for my uses. The lid is an immediate throw away. I don't like using flimsy plastic.

Good quality for price
Exactly what the description says! Got them and immediately filled up to ferment. So far, no leaks and it’s easy to put fruits and liquid in the wide mouth. Only thing is the airlocks don’t have holes on the caps. Not sure if that’s standard, but all my other ones have holes to let air out. It doesn’t seem to be an issue though.

I was a little skeptical at first
I was a little skeptical at first from some of the reviews, but they arrived in one piece. Glass seems of good quality, the cap could be a little denser plastic of some other more sturdy material. However, it seems to seal very well. I wanted a large mouth jar because I’ve heard they’re easier to use, and they are a lot easier.

Defects in the glass, seller does not reimburse
I was excited to get these. The reviews lead me to expect quality jars. They arrived early, but I was very disappointed when I removed the jars from the package. The glass is full of bubbles and defects.UPDATE:April 15: I dropped the items off at ups store over two weeks ago around the end of March. Still have not received my refund. And not a word from the seller. Now the item in their Amazon store has been discontinued.
