I use this for cervical auscultation of infants for swallowing
I was looking for a stethoscope for cervical auscultation for listening for SSB in preterm and full term infants. I was afraid this stethoscopes performance would be reflected in the price, however, I was wrong. Although inexpensive, there is excellent sound quality for listening for SSB and abnormalities of SSB. Also it is the perfect size to get into the neck of a preterm.

For costume purposes only
I don’t normally leave reviews, but I wanted to warn any other LCs who might be shopping. The pastel pink doesn’t even come close to matching the images and that’s the least of the issues I have here. I’m a lactation consultant with a private practice and I bought this to add to a kit for one of my employees since the one I bought years ago (mdf neonatal) has more than doubled in price. There was a good review for this one from another LC so I thought I’d give it a go and save some money. And to be fair you can hear SSB somewhat decently if you try. But the ear pieces are incredibly uncomfortable and don’t fit well at all, just seconds of wearing and I was done and there’s a whole lot of ambient sound coming in since due to the poor fit. The entire thing is extremely cheaply made, I’d be embarrassed to call myself a health care professional with this in tow, no way am I putting my business and reputation out on an employee with this . Only one side of the bell actually works for auscultation. This is definitely getting returned. Bottom line: if you’re in lactation just buy an MDF; if this is for your child’s Halloween costume, it’s perfect, actually the pink would make a very cute Doc McStuffins.

I’m a neo/peds RT and throw works great. Good value for the money compared to the bigger name brands. 6 stars!

Does not work well
I’m a mother baby nurse. I have a Littmann Infant stethoscope, but wanted to gift a coworker with a cheaper version of the stethoscope. You definitely get what you pay for. I tested it out before giving it and could not really hear my heartbeat when I held it up to myself (checking both bell and diaphragm). It comes disassembled, so you have to put it together yourself, kind of like the ones hospitals supply for patients with precautions. Also, the ear pieces were very hard and hurt my ears after a minute or so of checking the stethoscope.

The bell is excellent very audible
The bell is excellent very audible, the diaphragm however is a bit low pitch; but considering d price it's okay

Horrible
Can’t hear anything! Used on puppies, could not hear a thing… used my big stethoscope and could hear everything! Also the ear pieces come with very hard plastic ends that HURT!
