Unboxed these, well packaged, but very small box which got my attention, for size 12uk box should be bigger..Tried these on,and the elastic sides were very loose and as if the elastic was poor, the height was very very low, coming to slightly above my ankle, absolutely useless for safety boots.The fit was terrible, advertised as wide fitting, the steel toecaps were touching my toes with no room to move inside at allComfort, was very very poor.The product fit was terribleCan't comment on durability as didn't get past that stage.All packaged up to be returned.. chinese made, maybe Chinese sizes,certainly not uk sizes.

The construction of these boots is perfectly fine, and they seem quite rugged so far - just not quite comfortable enough to make me continue using them. Admittedly, the slight pinching on the inner upper arches I've experienced with these boots could simply be due to my own foot shape, but coupled with a rather loose ankle support, they simply aren't comfortable enough for my daily use on a building siteI go through a pair of boots every three months, with most boots typically failing due to excessive toe wear which eventually exposes the steel to cap. These boots do look and feel sturdy enough to offer at least as much longevity, namely at least three months, as other boots I've purchased previously.If you're one of those people lucky enough to have the right foot shape for these boots, then these will probably work well for you, but if you don't like boots with a fairly loose ankle support, and these are - even for slip-ons, then you may want to think twice before buying.

I ordered a size 5 (38) and received a size 6 (39). They were like boats on me. Sent them back and ordered another pair. They were exactly the same. On looking inside the boot it had size 5-6 meaning they were a size 6. Also had 39 on the sole of the boot. This second pair arrived in a different box with no literature which had appeared with the first pair. This pair were returned as well. Having said this about the sizing the boots were very lightweight and had good sole on them. I ordered an entirely different pair of steel toe caps from Ebay and they are a size 5 and fit perfectly. The sizing needs to be sorted so people know what they are ordering.

Having to wear PPE in the work environment,I have been frustrated by the company issue footwear. It is always too narrow for my wide feet and has caused me problems while trying to cope with a larger size.Thanks to these boots from Safetoe I can now work in relatively pain free comfort. The fit is as it should be, snug without being confining and flexible without too much restriction of movement. I cannot attest to the insoles, unfortunately due to plantar fascia problems I had to used specialist insoles but they are as described, pity they look comfy.To date these are the best safety boots of this type I have worn and will be happy to recommend them to the person with wider than normal plates.ADDENDUM: Feb 2019. Two stars dropped after a catering can of produce fell on foot. Although toes protected the upper is 'cracked and shattered' ruining the boot. Other makes have survived similar with only scuff marks & all things considered these boots have a short lifespan. Not what I needed.

I use to buy boots all the time due to the constant wear and tear of my job. I've had these since August and wearing them whilst working 7 back to back 12 hour shifts. There has been no signs of the leather flaking or peeling like I've had happen on previous boots were the boots were bend and move, there are some minor scuff marks but they are easily polished out when I start my rest days.I bought a size 10 and they fit my feet comfortably, they don't offer the greats amount of ankle support but they're secure enough on my feet I don't have to worry about them falling off, I have had them on whilst wearing a pair of super thick socks and they still felt comfortable to wear.I'd recommend these and when and if these current ones give up the ghost if in my size will order another pair again.
