Q: How much of this cream do you have to apply on the affected area such as the knee? Thank you.

Please refer to the information furnished you by the manufacturer. Personally I apply a thin coating and rub it in to all areas of the knee and behind the knee three times a day when the skin is in normal warmth temperature. I have when swing dancing applied it right after the dancing when the skin temperature is more normal. I apply it liberally as above and really rub it in, some times If soreness felt I use it on the thighs and calves on the leg and areas of the feet that are tense and sore. Used it for years and give gifts of it to fellow dancers and friends that have arthritis, etc. and almost all have praised it and reorder on their own. My statement to friends I introduce to it "if you do not find relief get your doctor pronto, something else is wrong!!!"
