I used to live where it rain 13+ feet a year, then took my wife on a cruise and the chance of rain was a possibility, so Helly Hansen was the only one I buy. The Best!!!

No wearing tears, still works well after much, hood fits snugly and will remain in place
It is holding up, and has an internal pocket. High visibility color has not worn away, important for foggy mornings and night visibility(coat is not high vis).

Not good in heavy rain
Jacket works fine in lite rain for short amounts of time. In heavy rain the jacket saturates. Not "waterproof" more water resistant.
