Purchased two of these to place along a wall of a garden at our home. Received in perfect condition, quick shipping, not a scratch to be found anywhere. Our intent is to place clematis at the base of each trellis and let the plant climb. The trellis unit (11172M) arrived on time as described by amazon. I rceived two long flat pack boxes. The manufacturer provided detailed easy to follow instructions in each box. The trellis is made of a high quality solid pvc type material, and the plastic is colored all the way through the material. No need to worry about scratches, painting or maintenance. Assembly was quick and very easy, and took about ten mintes each trellis. The only real tools needed are a scredriver/or drill to install a few screws into the units pre-drilled holes.I placed each trellis in its desired location in the garden, and secured each trellis using the provided heavy duty stakes at the base of each post....again, installation could not have been any easier. I highly recommend this unit as well as this manufacturer. Its obvious that they care about their product and have put some thought into a high quality item for the american consumer. Also, it appears asif it is manufactured in the USA.If you are seeking a quality garden trellis that is far superior to that junk being sold in the usual big box stores, then buy this. Prices in stores such as H*me D*pot and L*wes are much more expensive, and they do not sell anyhing ner the qulity of these units. This trellis is available in white as well as mocha. Looks great in our garden. You will not be disappointed in any way. Great item!!!!03/27/13 - After a major spring snowstorm in our area accompanied by high winds, I am pleased to say that the trellis units held up very well, and did not lean or move in the high winds and heavy wet snow. I anticipate they will be in our garden supporting climbing plants for a very long time.04/30/13 - The clematis have enjoyed beginning thier climb up this tall, elegant trellis. The unit still looks brand new, same as when it was taken out of the box and assembled. Their is no change whatsoever in color from UV exposure or exposure to the elements. Still very satisfied with this purchase.

This tress is was easy to assemble. It is made well and easy to place in my garden.

We needed a trellis for our climbing plants in our back yard with additional height beyond our 6 foot fence to block out neighbor's flood light that is activated by any plant movement throughout the night...with the light emitting directly into our bedroom. We have a white vinyl fence so wanted something that wouldn't stand out but instead blend in with our fencing. Saw this one with the perfect height and width, design, and price. It came with all necessary hardware and was easy enough to assemble and will attach it to our fence. this brand is top quality as we have several others in different models and they all look very nice. Highly recommend.

The trellis was easier to put together with two people. That said, it went together without problems. The only thing I did not like was the two extensions that went into the ground. These are not pointed and do not go in easily. When the package arrived, these two pieces were missing and I contacted the manufacturer directly. They shipped the missing parts immediately and they arrived quickly with no charge.

Love these trellis’s I have 5 now. Easy to clean and install. No issue with hurricane winds either!

I put 3 of these up in front of my house to cover a stone wall about 3-4 years ago. They are beautiful. I grow clematis on each one in summer and put wreaths on them during the Christmas season. They look exactly the same as they did the day I originally put them up. They are about 6 inches apart, fastened to the wall with spacers about 6 inches off the wall. It makes all the difference in the world!! Great product!!

Takes a bit to put together.

I ordered this to grow a Carolina jessamine vine as a privacy screen. I'm very pleased with the appearance in my little cottage-garden. It's lovely to look at and the grid-design is very easy for the vines to climb. Assembly was straightforward overall - the pieces fit together *very* snugly which is good for durability but takes a little bit of extra time in the assembly process. I don't mind that kind of extra time at all when it's for a more solid end-result!I found that a pair of pliers to give the slats a little pinch when inserting them into the slots in the uprights and crossbars speeded up the process. (I suspect the people saying the provided slats are too long aren't pushing them all the way in to their insertion-slots. All of my pieces fit perfectly once I had them properly inserted.)The L-shaped ground anchors fit very snugly too, had to use a little extra muscle to get them properly seated, but there again it's for a sturdier long-term result so that's fine with me. On both sides they wouldn't quite fit in the first corner I tried, rotated to another corner and they went in fine. No pattern to which corner it was, just one of those try-until-it-works things.At the base there are no holes in the post or metal anchors for the provided screws which are supposed to be "self-tapping" - I've got a Craftsman 12-v drill and I wasn't able to make a dent in the metal anchors with the provided screws or with my ordinary multipurpose drill bits, fortunately the anchors fit so tightly into the posts I don't think they're really needed for my installation in a relatively protected area.
