Q: Are they water proof?

They will hold up just fine in water. Just keep in mind that they are leather so it will be a matter of time before leather may be affected by shampoo or soap or some type of chemicals if you are wearing them while you shower. Otherwise regular water will affect leather, just like it affects leather. I have had these for years and they are totally worth the money

The straps are black I bought mine in jan 2020 there very nice pieces!
