The best I've found...but*
I've tested so many sunscreens, as many of us do that hate wearing sunscreen.Coconut Joe's doesn't burn my eyes sweating out in hot 100F weather. It is pleasant to wear.I've bought 3 bottles over the last 2 years. Here the but*First time out in the sun you will burn if you don't build up some base exposure first.I treat it like a SPF 4 when I start getting some sun after being indoors for the winter. Also, put it on thicker before you have that base exposure build up.Then after you are used to the sun, you can use a light coat that will not be visible after rubbing it in.Thank you to the people at Coconut Joe's for creating such a great product!

Love it's smell and protection
Stuff is the bomb diggity! I have yet to be burned, lasts long, and won't kill our oceans. Not that I'm a big eco freak. It's all-around goodness.

This stuff is the BOMB!
I've literally spent a small fortune trying countless "natural" sunscreens. This is hands down the best product I have ever used for the money. I love it so much, I just purchased 4 more bottles of sunscreen and one aftercare lotion directly through Coconut Joe's. It sounds like those whining about it's consistency, have never used many zinc based products. They are all thick, separate, and need a good shaking (like any sunscreen should be) before use. The smell is subtle but amazing. Can't recommend it enough.

Great customer service and a great product!
We ordered a bottle for a recent trip to Mexico, and the Post Office lost it. We wrote the company asking for help, and they shipped out a new bottle the next day so we would have it in time for our trip. We used this bottle for 10 days in the intense sun, and it protected beautifully. Not greasy, great smelling and easy to spread on your skin. We will be purchasing this product for many years to come. Thank you Coconut Joes!

Natural Sunscreen! Great Stuff
I'm tired of going to the pool or beach and getting blasted in the face by people spraying terrible chemical spray sunscreen. This stuff is great, no chemicals and protects from the sun. That's all I'm looking for. Leaves a white coating depending on how much you use but I'd rather have that than all the chemicals in traditional sun screen. Pay attention to what is going in and on your body people. Thank you Coconut Joes!

Thick but does the job and chemical free!
Does the job but very thick and hard to rub in. Not supposed to rub more than six times or defeats the purpose of sun blocking. But it is all natural without all the harmful chemicals that could hurt ones body or the environment/animals.

I felt I had purchased a quality product and liked the fact that it was eco-friendly
I purchased a bottle of this while in Pensacola Florida at an Alvin's Island. I felt I had purchased a quality product and liked the fact that it was eco-friendly. When outside, I applied the sunscreen to my arms and legs--the product made a blaring white "floured" look to my limbs, but I had seen this reaction in the past with other products and knew I should be able to see it "disappear" if I just kept rubbing it. This is what I attempted to do for quite some time, but was shocked to see that not only was it not disappearing, but it was getting foamier and more cakey the more I tried to deal with it. I felt like I had perhaps chosen a defective bottle (or that it was just a rip off product) and so I re-entered the store to attempt to get a refund. I showed them my limbs that looked like I'd been rolled in flour and they told my I'd have to deal with the manufacturer--no refunds. I spent the rest of the afternoon with this weird gook all over me until I could get back to the condo later that day to scrub (and scrub and scrub) it off.I sent photos to the contact given on the Coconut Joe's website and received a very surprisingly defensive reply that tried to convince me that my experience was completely by design, expected, normal, and in fact that I should be happy about it. Bunk! Here's the reply in total following. All I can say is buyer beware.<<quoted reply following>>"Hi [me],Coconut Joe's sunscreens are NOT "chemical-based" sunscreens. They do not get absorbed into your skin/body/blood. Instead, the natural zinc oxide rests on the surface of your skin and reflects the sun's harmful UVA & UVB rays. So, the product is not defective. The white film on your skin was the zinc oxide doing what it was supposed to do.For years, almost all the major brands have used parabens, mineral oil, and "chemical-based" sunscreens in their products like oxybenzone, octinoxate, octisalate, and homosalate. But, because of the harm that these chemicals are now known to cause in people, the marine life and the environment, we are seeing a major buying shift to natural “mineral-based” products like Coconut Joe’s Suncare Products! This shift has been prompted largely by the fact that most chemical-based sunscreens are known estrogen mimickers and endocrine disruptors. They are absorbed through the skin and into the body and can produce adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects in both humans and wildlife. What’s more, chemical-based sunscreens have been linked to the “bleaching” of coral reefs, which ultimately leads to coral death. As a result, most of the major cruise lines have already banned “chemical-based” sunscreens and many of the resorts in the Caribbean are doing the same!...

Eco-safe and Sun Protection
First off, I am not a solicited reviewer. I bought this product because we are going snorkeling in the ocean. I want to be conscientious about our impact on the environment so I bought this product with no reviews. I am thrilled to find an eco-safe, body-safe suncreen that rubs right in and smells great. This will definitely be my go-to sunscreen for ocean swimming.
