Incredible value & excellent quality
I looked around for a pair of crimpers for non insulated tags for a while. There are many crimpers on Amazon most are either for insulated or have interchangeable sets of jaws for different tags. Many are the same tool with just different coloured handles and badge. I don't like the look of pre insulated tags once they're crimped, and the interchangeable sets always seem like you're buying 4 things (you'll never use) just to get the one you want.I like knipex tools and have some already, but was finding it hard to part with the £125 price tag for a pair knipex crimpers. ...................Then I found these. They arrived next day packaged in a well presented cardboard (so easily recyclable) box. The pack included the pliers and a pack of 300 tags in various sizes. The pics are of the first time I used the pliers straight out of the box and I'm really pleased with the results. Like all tools it's often about getting in sync with the tool which comes with practice and use. So looking at the early results I find it hard to believe that a pair of knipex that were £100 more could produce much better results. The tool feels solid and strong enough to last for a long time .Five stars for a fantastic product of incredible value, the pics speak for themselves I think !!

Great tool
Very good quality tool that works wellTakes a bit if practice to get right so do a few tests on some scrap wire before you use itThe crimps and tool are sided as the rear of the crimp is bigger the the front/conecter side so make sure you put it in right wayAlso if you push the crim into the slot on the tool and close the jaws till they just touch the bottom side of the crimp you can then push the wire in while the tool holds the crimp in place. Then finally squeeze again to fold the crimp over and make the connection

Not bad for beginner
Great for a beginner, using 14 agw speaker wire. You can't get the outer cable into the end crimp, but butted up tight, I got a good crimp, and using the insulation still good cover. The 2.8mm seems to be the dodgy one, doesn't form properly all the time, alas, I started them off in the 6.3 slot, nipped them, then finished off in the 2.8mm slot. Good result 9/10. The 4.8mm and 6.3mm were ok about 8/10, but still had the odd one or 2 misformed or wedged.

Crimps terminals.
Seemes decent quality for the price. Produces a decent crimp. Seems to work as well as some more expensive ones. The box of terminals also for less than a pound is a no brainer compared to the bare tool.

Good quality, Great value. Strong reliable connections.
Well priced between expensive tools that only make sense for trade & nasty Chinese rubbish that don't work. After using it quite a bit I can say it works really well, every crimp has been strong and reliable. The tool feels more expensive than it is and all the supplied connectors appear to be made from good materials. The only thing I could fault at this price is the box they come in, which is a miniscule gripe.

Great bit of kit
Great for wiring repairs makes life much simpler. Tested resistance none present and makes a good secure connection with the locking connectors provided.

Bargain and works great
Rewiring a motorbike loom and this tool is spot on!The trick is to place the crimp into the jaws of the tool and gently nip it in the correct spot on the jaw so it's just holding the crimp then place your wire in and squeeze. It's as simple as that and gives a professional result! Also we'll packaged.

Not what I expected.
Despite using these types of crimping tools fairly regularly over the past 40+ years I was unable to get to grips with this one. I read the instruction leaflet and watched videos on YouTube. It looks simple. But in reality it just didn't work. All other units I have used required you to put the crimp into a hollow recess and gently close the jaws to hold it in place while you inserted the wire. Then with a squeeze of the handles the jaws squashed the crimp around the crimp securely. With these, you have to rest the crimp on top of one of the jaws, close the jaws so it just touches it to hold it in position, then fit your wire and continue to squeeze. I found if you don't grip it hard enough it falls out. Grip it slightly harder and it twists and becomes deformed. I can understand the frustration of other posters who say it doesn't work as expected. In the process of returning it for a refund.
