Levels first
My nephew has just laid our patio with porcelain tiles used the risers, this is the 1st time using them, he has found them a bit fiddly but once he had the hang of fitting the tile it was relatively easy, the one thing he said he would do if he used them again is to work out his levels to begin with as one end of our patio was significantly higher than the other, best to use string lines and spirit levels, get the level and the rest should be clean sailing.
