Mercedes-Benz Genuine Touch Up Paint Pen Color Code (040 - Black)

This is the third time that I bought and used the same Mercedes Benz genuine touch paint. It worked great and matches the color code for my car. I highly recommend it.

I need thing to fix a small nick and it's perfect. Easy to use but I did use a toothpick for my fix to make sure I didn't smear.

i used a toothpick for a more precise fill as my chip was slightly smaller than the brush. it worked really well after shaking the pen pretty well and then using the tooth pick to dip inside. it dried pretty fast, less than 3 minutes for sure. now my once very noticeable chip is almost invisible!

I got a scratch mark on my MB C300. I was looking for an affordable and reasonable price touch up paint. I found this MB made in German touch up paint with the original color. I ordered it and use it on the scratched mark. This color is a perfect match color. The down side is this touch up paint does not has a mix with a base coat paint. I have to put several layers in order to bring up the original paint coating color.

Bought this paint to touch up rock chips on a 2022 Mercedes GLC. The color match is spot on. The bottle comes with a brush applicator so I used a toothpick for smaller, more precise application. Genuine Mercedes product.

My experience with the Mercedes-Benz Genuine Touch Up Paint Pen (Color Code 792 - Palladium Silver) has been extremely disappointing, and I’d caution anyone considering this product. Despite choosing the correct color code, the paint doesn’t match my car at all. The difference is obvious, as you can see in the attached photo, making the touch-up look worse than the original minor scratch.When I reached out to the seller for help, hoping for a refund, return, or even a partial refund, they refused, saying that ‘no touch-up paint will match 100%.’ That kind of response is unacceptable – if a product is advertised to match a specific color code, it should at least come close. It’s frustrating to pay for a genuine part that doesn’t live up to expectations, and to be met with such poor customer service makes it worse. I’d advise others to save their money and look elsewhere.
