Mercedes-Benz Clear Coat Touch up Kit

I drive an older model Mercedes that needed a few paint touch up but I did not want to have to pay a lot to correct the small chips of paint on the hood of my car. I ordered this product and it worked great saving me a lot of money. I would recommend this Product!

I realize that clear coat is not like other paints. But, when this clear coat came with the warning that it is a solvent that removes paint, I should have gone no further. But, I assumed the warning was more about technique than damage. (Yes, I know to dab, not brush). I have never received such a warning with other clear coats. This stuff is more like glue than touch-up paint.I used TouchUp Direct paint and clear coat on my Paladium Silver Mercedes and both the base coat and clearcoat were perfect matches.Not this stuff. Not only did it apply like a super glue gel, but it dried ridiculously shiny. Instead of effectively hiding the blemish, it highlighted it.I'll be buffing this off and hopefully will be able to salvage the damage with another use of TouchUp Direct paint. I should have taken the hint when I noticed a tub of Jeff's paint was cheaper than the other touch-up pen. There's a reason, and it's the usual one.

Wow. It's easy to write bad reviews when something is upsetting but this was so good I felt compelled to let others know. The color match was perfect and that little bottle goes a long way.

Perfect finish. Can not tell where applied.

Did not go on smoothly at all to cover a small patch about the size of a quarter. The paint brush provided was microscopic. This product might have worked better to fill in a thin scratch, but not at all for an area where the clear coat had peeled.
