I use this color to help with my roots in between highlights. I have medium reddish brown hair, but with grays starting to come in I now highlight an ash blonde. This color is amazing at blending regrowth into my existing highlights. If you just want to do your roots and not ruin your highlights, coat your hair in conditioner where you don’t want the color to deposit. That way when you rinse it out it will not deposit and ruin your highlights. My hairdresser even comments that it looks great. I just cannot afford monthly salon visits just for a my grays. This product is perfect for that. Very gentle and does not damage my hair. I follow up with treatments of a purple conditioner. Best one I found is Davines Silver.

This didn't lighten my hair as much as I anticipated. But the color wasn't brassy and my hair was in good condition afterwards.

The color was unchanged after I used this product on my hair. Very disappointing!

I love this color and use it regularly. Clairol has done an incredible job of taking a photo which accurately reflects the true color. I began using this because the salons are not fully open and I wanted to maintain my color. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to color my hair and to have it stay healthy! I recommend you try it if you have natural hair.

I got this in hopes to cover a brassy tone on last summer's ombre hair color. I just applied to ends for 20 minutes. I wouldn't say it lightened up the brassiness to blonde, but it at least put a really nicely toned ash light brown onto my hair. I'm going to buy this again in case the brassiness comes back. I'm really happy that I tried to do it myself first. It's a little mousy, but i'll take that over orange any day!

I used this color after I bleached my wig to a level 7 in preparation for this colorant. I figured I'd lighten to a light brown/auburn so that I didn't expect this colorant to lift the "3 levels" it advertised. I was hoping to go to the darkest rose gold and this dye still colored the hair way too dark and left a greenish undertone. I ended up having to bleach the wig again back to an auburn. Ugh!

Although it states not for blondes I use this product anyway. It gives me a light over-toned appearance with hints of purple tone. The purple hue fades after a few shampoos but I love how it looks. Received so many compliments. Doesn’t look dramatic at all.
