Maple syrup
I added a spoonful of maple syrup . Lovey good to use with a low salt stock . Diced chicken onions and peas you could add pork and or prawns .

I usually use the Mayflower one (the hottest one) it’s ok, probably the closest to real takeaway Chinese. I’m on the lookout for THE most amazing Chinese sauce that I have tasted in a few genuine Chinese restaurants. This one wasn’t it either. It is identical to the mayflower except it is very yellow and is ‘gloopy’ (see picture) Not bad but not close to restaurant style. I will keep looking.
