Whether you're storing your boat for the winter or strapping it to your rig for an adventure, the NRS Super Stretch Neoprene Cockpit Cover seals your cockpit to protect against weather, debris, and critters. This weatherproof super stretchy neoprene easily fits a range of cockpit sizes. With a smooth-skin 1 mm neoprene sheds water and resists abrasion for long-lasting protection. Featuring an adjustable shock cord band that creates a snug fit around your kayak's cockpit combing. Tie it off to secure the fit. The universal fit measures (length) 28 to 40 inches which will guarantee fit a big variety of cockpits. PRODUCT TIPS When placing the cover on cockpits at the upper end of the two size ranges, it can be a tight fit. Leave the cover on the boat for at least 24 hours to let it stretch a bit and it should be easier to put it on the next time. Take the NRS Super Stretch Neoprene Cockpit Cover on your next adventure and protect your boat from anything the world throws your way.

Fits nice and tight on my Pelican Mustang
Fits nice and tight on my Pelican Mustang 120. I wanted something to keep the critters out. This is a really tight fit. Exactly what I was looking for. I bought the largest size, universal plus. The measurements for my cockpit are 24.5" wide and 50" long. I am happy and will recommend to others to buy.

Received it in good condition and installed it on my pelican mustang 100x
Received it in good condition and installed it on my pelican mustang 100x. It fit good with the cockpit being 25" x 47". Even with the seat not completely down. Happy so far.

Amazon is not a registered NRS Retailer! (Also, product info.)
Mmmk so I ordered this item, couldn’t get it on my kayak (Pelican Mustang 120x), contacted NRS because my cockpit is within the measurements the specs say it would fit—and they informed me that Amazon wasn’t a registered seller of NRS products, and told me it was possible that I got a bogus product.SO, I returned it—and ordered it directly from NRS.And I still couldn’t get it on my boat... but...Then I read some reviews and whatnot because the measurements said it should fit... and they said on larger boats it would need to stretch out a bit.And then, I got help...The first time I got the cockpit cover on my boat, it took 3 people to get it in place. I left it on for ~24 hours. The second time it took 2 people... and I left it on for about 48 hours. The third time it took 2 people... and I left it on for about 72 hours...Today, the 4th time, I was able to get it on myself. I probably looked like an idiot, and it took me 3 tries, and it was a struggle... but I got it.ALL that to say, if you’ve got a larger cockpit, you’ll likely need help—and it will NEED TO STRETCH A LOT.I’m hoping it gets easier over time!If you carry your boat upright on blocks and upright like me, you probably want to make sure your straps are holding the cover in place when you’re driving!

Great Purchase
This cover fits my 6' Sun Dolphin Kayak perfectly. I searched online for a cover for this kayak for a long time and all of the descriptions and reviews were extremely confusing. I don't know why that's the case, I shop almost exclusively online and this was one of the most difficult purchases I've made due to confusing descriptions and lack of information, plus these things are expensive. So here it is - this fits a 6' Sun Dolphin Kayak. The opening on it is fairly generic to numerous other Sun Dolphins. I'm not an expert, but you can go to where they sell Kayaks and measure. If your opening is similar, this will work as it stretches somewhat and has a drawstring. It's made a decent material and is sturdy. We just had a hurricane in North Carolina and had close to 8" of rain. My kayak was in the weather, on its side with this cover and it stayed mostly dry inside. Not entirely, but 8" of rain in 2 days is not a normal event. I'm pleased with how it held up, especially considering there was gale force winds driving the rain as well. I'm certain it will keep normal rain as well as debris, bugs, and critters out of my boat.

Pelican Mustang 100X Kayak - XL
Pelican Mustang 100X Kayak from Dicks. This XL cover barely fits this kayak. It's almost impossible to put it on by yourself. Make sure you pull the strings out and tie a very short knot first. I made the mistake of leaving an inch of slack on 1 kayak and 2 of us could hardly get it on. On the 2nd kayak the knot had 1/4 inch over and I was almost able to get it on myself but was easy with 2 people.Nice material otherwise but I haven't taken them anywhere yet. 4 stars because the strings/cords are too short. An extra few inches or a foot on each side would be much easier to deal with.

Great for large kayak cockpits
This fits the kayak cockpit very nicely. If you have an oversized kayak cockpit, this is one of the few that will work- you do have to stretch it or at least I do as my cockpit is on the larger size of the range of this cover. This was the only one I found that would fit. Being neoprene it has a really nice feel, I would question the ability to repel water over a long period of time in soaking rain. That is not as much a concern for me for when I have it stored and not using I am more concerned with keeping critters out, which this should do quite nicely.

Fits large cockpits
I have a Field and Stream 12ft Eagle Run kayak which has quite a large cockpit , roughly 52 inches I believe. This cover does fit it although it is at it's limits. It seals nicely and I haven't had anything break on the cover itself. I purchased this cover spring of 2012 and a year later at the time of this review (8-3-2013) I can see that the neoprene is starting to crack and disentigrate slightly. I do store my kayak outside and upside down but I'm not sure if this cover will last another year until it splits open. I do leave it on at all times when not out in my kayak. I am happy to have found a cover that fits such a large cockpit but am not quite sure how long it is going to last. It does keep the critters and elements out though.

A great fit and it looks nice as well.
I received these today and immediately put them on my kayaks (though they are still hanging from the ceiling in my garage) and they look great. I bought the large size and it's like it was made for my exact kayak. The only issue I had was while stretching them over the opening, one of the shock cord ends went inside the grommet hole. It wasn't a huge deal since the cord is thick and was easy to guide back to the hole and out. I fixed any future problems by tying a stopper knot at the end of each cord.I will be travelling with these next month, I'll try to report back how they work on the road.
