OK I guess, using as firewall/router/gateway
OK, I guess. The CPU is old.I'm using this as a firewall. It works well as a firewall because of the dual ports. You should be happy using this as a VPN firewall. The MAC addresses are marked on the ports inside. So, it would be a good idea to label the two NIC ports now.It feels solid. It is sealed and the vents are taped up. It is not air-tight and there is no need to be.All heat removal is conductive. The CPU is attached to a block of aluminum. The block of aluminum is attached to the case. The case is aluminum. The case is the final heat sink for the CPU and for the CPU only.I would recommend using SSD instead of a spinning hard drive. If you can find the msata card instead of a 2.5 inch SSD, that would make installation much better. Installing a 2.5 drive is a tight squeeze. I was able to do it, but I do not recommend it.The CPU runs at 40C.This device comes with plugs for all ports. That is, there are rubber plugs to cover USB ports, HDMI ports, etc... Cleaning off dust should be very easy. There is no fan or other moving parts.Heat removal is good.

very good value
fantastic little server/network appliance. Everything works great and packaging was solid. It runs about 40C with passively cooling which is very good. 2 NICs, +WIFI and plethora of video options is amazing at this price. It also supports MSATA or regular 2.5 inch SATA storage. Only 4GB maximum RAM but that is expected. Hope it lasts, but so far I am impressed.

Works great with opnsense
Replaced home router with this running opnsense since home internet got upgraded to gigabit. Actually getting performance expected. Not listed anywhere but the WiFi+BT card is the realtek RTL8723BE which doesn't work in opnsense

Five Stars
Works well for mini utility (linux) server. No identified heat or other systems issues.

Great little device
This is a fantastic little computer. I use it as a network firewall and it's great. I especially like the covers that are provided for all the ports. Customer service is fast and helpful as well. Construction is sturdy and tough. The only negative I have is that I had minor difficulty getting the SATA cable to pass through to the SSD drive bay.
