URO Parts BPX700010 Fuel Door Latch

Fits my 2004 LR Discovery HSE perfectly. Takes 2 seconds to install - word to the wise: make sure the metal tab sticking out from the fuel door is in the proper location (not too close, not too far away from the pin that's inside the vehicle body). You may have to bend the tab a 1/2 inch one way or another to get it to line-up, but this latch works perfectly.

Awesome replacement. I have a 2004 land rover discovery 2 hse that I purchased just under a year ago and have never had this piece. I didn't even know it was missing. Installed it in less than a minute and works as I imagine oem would!! Would buy again and highly recommend!

This part fit my Discovery II just fine, but it didn't align well enough with the release pin to work. I had to glue a piece of plastic to it to hold it in the right position permanently.

If you’re reading this to see if this is worth putting on your Land Rover Discovery fuel door latch let me help you with the questions you have:(1) Yes. It fits. (2) Yes. It’s plastic and nobody knows why these aren’t made of something more robust. We agree with you..they should but hey, they don’t(3) No. You can’t make one yourself. Yes. It’s just a piece of plastic but it works to keep your door closed and it’s not worth the hassle of making your own.(4) Yes. Buy three. You will need more in the future. They degrade every 12-18 months and nothing beats that sense of smugness for when you break one (and you will) that you can reach into your glove box and pull out another.(5) How can this cost $5? It’s a reality of economics and remember this is a part of what was once a $50,000+ plus vehicle so really your anger is at your own life choices and nothing with any capitalistic theory of supply, demand and the consequences of a free-market. I had to fabricate a clip to hold the angle correctly. Resolves the issue, but not directly out of the box.

The older land rovers latch have a tendency of snapping off and falling off.
