Same docking station as others sell, and can work with WD HDDs.
This docking station sold by fhong is also sold by Cinolink and Tccmebius. But Tccmebius tells you more about it. For instance, an extremely important detail is not mentioned on fhong's page but is on Tccmebius. There is a tiny button on the bottom of this docking station that allows you to move the IDE power plug farther away from the IDE plug. This allows you to insert a WD IDE HDD into the slot firmly and fully. fhong tells you that it will not work with WD IDE HDDs but obviously did not look at the device very well. It does work with WD IDE HDDs. The problem is that the power plug snaps back to its original, innermost position when you pull the drive out. You just have to keep resetting the position to whatever fits your IDE HDD when you re-insert the drive. Works very well. Don't know how long it will last. Many of these cheaper stations do not last long.

Well Worth It!
Works great and I would definitely recommend purchasing this unit. We used it to retrieve data off of an old IDE drive and were happy to be able to still find a dock that will read an older IDE interfaced hard disk.

How does this have good ratings?
it does work but that’s about it. Ide drives you have to find the special spot for them to work, there are no guides and with the movable power plug it all just barely works. This thing is probably the cheapest made item I have ever purchased and it belongs at a dollar store.After playing and getting the drive in without braking anything it does work but there are way better designed ones out there. Buy the other if you found another.

Has one slot SATAOne slot can hold IDE 2.5 or 3.5 connections.Instructions are typical confusing not English spokenSeems there is a function button to clone IDE to SATA.Overall pleased to have a solid bay for any drives.

Being the drive is IDE it is hard to know if the HD is seated correctly.

Just what I needed!
I had several older drives...various sizes and interfaces... This docking station worked perfectly on all of them. It can be a little tricky to guide the drive into the dock (to match the connectors) until you do a few. I am satisfied!
