Love this.. My dog does not like other dogs and alot of times people alow their dogs to run off- leash, which causes problems and stress for me, the dog horn is loud enough to stop the other dogs from approaching but dosen't cause them harm as pepper spray would..

It works! First time out I had to use it. Im so thankful I had it with me and easily accessible! I just bought this airhorn on Amazon and took it with me on my walk tonight through the neighborhood. I attached it to the strap of my fanny pack. My daughter and I turned a corner and there in front of us about 10 feet away was a coyote coming straight toward us. As soon as I blew the horn, it ran in the other direction. My dogs didn’t seem to be bothered by it at all. It stopped and looked back at us and I blew it again. I would recommend this product. It would be interesting to know how many uses I have in it. Hopefully, I will know when it is running out.

I got it to stop dog fights as we have a resource guarding pyreneese, the instant I press the button the dogs seperate. I plan to buy a few more to keep around the house.

After an encounter with an off-leash German Shepherd some years ago, the personality of our Male Chi-Weenie (black one) changed drastically. He was no longer the happy-go-lucky, friendly, play with all dogs little guy anymore. He reacted in negative way to most dogs, no matter their size. Very sad to see this change, and no clue how to break him of this "get you before you get me". He also began fence fighting with neighbor's dog, when he used to ignore that dog prior to incident with the GSD. The neighbor's dogs are 40-50 lbs, or larger, and one of them even "pounds" up against the fence. About a year ago, her daughter moved in and she has a dog also. I NEVER let ours outside alone, but theirs are always out alone and they are VERY SLOW to react to any ruckus at the fence.The amount of incidents or encounters with off-leash dogs in our area has increased, and it's out of control. We have a strict Leash Law here that is being ignored - especially on the Walking Trails. Add to that the stormy weather damaging fencing and/or knocking it down; pets escape. Neighbors on a message board recommended this DOG HORN, so I decided to give a try.I have used the XL once during a walk on the nearby trail. There's a home with 2 large GSD's behind a chain-link fence and my little guy knows the area and gets all amped-up and we aren't even close to them yet. As soon as one of the dogs began barking, I gave a SHORT quick press and EVERY DOG was QUIET. It was LOUD! Oh my goodness. I will wear ear plugs in the future. It was also amazing that ALL 4 DOGS shut up. I think our Female (tan one) will return to her "better self" quicker than our stubborn Male. She's the more sensitive of the two. During this walk, we did not encounter a loose or off-leash dog. I will be carrying the XL with me in the future.As far as the fence fighting at home goes, have only used it once so far. Like the trail experience, all the dogs stopped the incessant barking/fighting at the fence. The day before, I let my neighbor know that I had this device and she said, "Good. Maybe my dogs will learn a thing or two and stop." I told her it's very loud but that I only use a single short burst.Now that I know the XL is getting a response from our dogs, I will probably order a Refill Set. Glad this product is available in a refill style.

I use this horn to let my Aussie know that his behavior is not acceptable. It did not take long before he realized that he is supposed to stop whatever he is doing when he hears it. Just protect your ears, and don’t put it close to your dogs ears, it is extremely loud.

My neighbors dogs bark at me on the other side of the fence whenever I'm outside. This did the trick!

Loud!!! Keeps the pesky fox away from squirrels and birds.

First horn didn't work at all; second horn worked fine.
