This product tastes awful!! Wait, what's that? Oh, it's supposed to. In that case, it's great! In all seriousness, it's not that bad tasting. As long as you don't have an overactive sweet tooth and are used to eating things that don't taste super sweet, you'll be able to deal with this without any problem.It's great to use after a meal, so your body knows that the meal is over. When you eat something sweet after eating, your body will just crave more. This product prevents that. The most important thing is to realize that this product won't do everything alone, you'll need to curb your sugar consumption in the first place. After you do that, you may actually enjoy the taste of bitters (I do).The price might seem high, but you're not going to down the whole bottle in one sitting. It will last a long time with regular use. As you build up tolerance to the taste, you might just try taking a shot of it...but I wouldn't recommend it! Just go slow and increase the amount you put in over time. I started off with a quarter of a teaspoon in a cup of water and worked up to taking a teaspoon or two straight. It's a great product that assists the digestion process.

I'm so so glad I found your original bitterness. I've only been using five days, but my guts are so much better! I bought the large bottle and found that a syringe I used to despense kids medicine fits great to into the hole to draw just the right amount out.At first I tried to drop into spoon, but I'd spill it.Thx again and please keep don't stop.

Using this product has really helped my digestion - from stomach to (well, you know.) When taking a little bit of these bitters in a few ounces of water, or my favorite, limeade, I do experience a noticeable improvement in my digestion. Heaver food does not feel like it's just sitting in my stomach, making me feel bloated. I feel normal (or empty, but not feeling hungry) a short time after eating. It has also help with regularity and I have experienced an improvement in irritable bowel syndrome. My husband can't usually eat onions or bell peppers because they cause uncomfortable gas for him; however, when he takes these bitters just before eating he experiences no discomfort or gas at all. Urban Moonshine makes high quality products that are very authentic. I can't say enough good things about them. As to the taste - I didn't find it that terribly "bitter" or offensive at all. As I said, mixed in a couple of ounces of water or some sort of juice works good for us. That being said, some people are going to find the bitter taste horrible. BUT - that bitter taste is why it works so well to improve digestion. Because digestion starts in the mouth, and that bitter taste is sending signals to the rest of the digestive system to gear up and get ready. Actually, most people I talked to that faithfully gave it a go for two or three weeks actually came to look forward to taking them, and missed the effect they had when they didn't take it. I hope others will give bitters a try and experience the positive benefits as we have.

For the past 3 months I have had so many issues with my digestion to the point that I couldn't drive anymore. Dr. did upper GI xray everything was normal, then he did upper right quadrant ultrasound, that came normal too, and even sent me to the cardiologist. I still have to do the stress test and ECO. I've lost 11 lbs in past two months because no matter what I eat it makes me so sick. I am just eating smoothies and juicing to survive, but even that makes me sick. After reading amazing reviews on this product I decided to go for it, because it can't make me feel worse than I am not. Let me tell you, these came in today, I opened the box and straight down took them. Yes they were bitter but I didn't care about the taste at all. I just wanted to feel better. And after an hr of taking them I felt calmer, I was able to drive with ease. and I could breathe. This stuff is amazing. I am going to continue to take them and will update as it goes. First time taking these and got better right away. Thank you for making such an amazing product.

These are good bitters to mix into drinks; tastes great with some soda water and lemon. I mostly took it as medicine and learned it's not great for that use. If you're expecting a strong herbal tincture, look elsewhere. It has a milder taste compared to some bitters I've tried. It also isn't very strong in terms of effectiveness. Sometimes I would take two droppers and it would only make me feel slightly better, not take away whatever stomach ailment I was experiencing (heartburn, nausea, indigestion, etc.). For $17 I don't think I'll be buying it a lot, but it's a nice ingredient to add to a drink that also has healthful properties.

>30% cane alcohol. I don't see any reason why this is necessary, and for ppl with indigestion the last thing they need is alcohol (notorious reflux trigger)it irritates my tissue. It also seems to help with digesting proteins. I think you should avoid this product if you have esophagitis. Find something which has no alcohol.

This product has been really helpful for me. It was recommended by my nutritionist to take before meals as a substitute for natural bitter greens if not on hand. I have found, also, that after a few hours of digestion that it helps with bloating, gas and cramping. I would not like to be without it. It's a bit pricey but a quality product
