Great non-fiction book
This was a perfect non-fiction book to read to my first graders to teach them about Diwali during our Holidays Around the World unit. I love the pictures, details, bolded vocabulary and glossary in the back. My students who celebrate Diwali were excited throughout the entire book.

This book was a great addition to my 'Holidays Around the World' unit. My class enjoyed it very much!

Short and inaccurate book about Diwali.
This book is all of 12 pages and each page is 75% picture and one sentence. I was looking for a simple fact based book that explains the who, what, when, where and why about the holiday to read to kids. This book lacks information and it talks about the lamps lit during Diwali as divas when they are "diyas." Poor factually and overall a waste of money, I will be looking for another book for sharing information about the holiday with my kids.
