AOC G2790PX 68.6 cm (27") WLED LCD Monitor - 16:9 - 1 ms GTG - 1920 x 1080 - 16.7 Million Colours

Having recently outsourced my gaming from PC to SteamDeck, a new monitor seemed like a worthwhile addition. Keener eyes may get all they need from the Deck's native screen alone, but alas, not mine. So after some (uh, read: 2hours+) window shopping I finally settled on the G2790PX.To be clear, I don't often feel compelled to write a review. But this time I did. Probably because I was so impressed from the moment I opened the (sizeable) box and found that everything in it had QUALITY written all over it:Packaging- no skimping on materials, no rattles, no loose items. Everything's wrapped, bagged, protected. And no, let's not hide behind "less is greener," please - I intend to keep the box, so nothing will get tossed to the nurdling winds.Assembly- couldn't be simpler. Screen, central support and the base lock together either by integral spring-loaded metal retainers or a single recessed wingnut. In about 30 seconds. Brilliant.Feel- solid! Given this is a 5+kg item that's height, tilt and swivel-adjustable, the internal mechanisms employed here would not feel out of place in an S-class Merc. No need to lock anything after adjusting position - it stays in place firmly by being balanced just right. Excellent design job!Included items- are about as generous as it gets. 1 x Display Port cable, 1 x HDMI cable, 1 x VGI cable, 1 x audio cable (ferro-shielded), 1 x USB hub cable, 1 x UK power cable, 1 x power cable for the Continent (that ostracised wee place just down there of 440M souls), a CD containing manuals and drivers (if needed). I list all this in detail since Amazon did not.Connectivity- as shown above, just about every option is covered, and in the case of HDMI with two ports. You'll also find 3.5mm audio in and headphone out sockets - the latter useful for soundbar connection. Also, 4 USB sockets. The only thing not provided is a D-sub socket.Also included are speakers. While I largely agree with other reviewers that they are pretty basic, I can say also that, thus far, there's been no ill-tempered squeaks or sighs from them, as might be expected at this price point. I'm glad they're there, but yes, my plan is to buy a soundbar soon.Native menu navigation- works with a single small joystick situated at the back, comfortably reached by your right hand. Having had to fumble and guess my way through many recessed and/or illegible menu buttons on other monitors in the past, this system here is intuitive and even acts as a power switch as well. The status LED, front-side bottom right, is tiny, ie. unobtrusive. Convincing design, again.Image quality- is of course what this is all about. I won't say much on this, however, because to make a meaningful statement would involve benchmarking, which I'll leave to those in a position to do so.I will say this: to me, the picture looks excellent. For now I've simply hooked up my SteamDeck using a USB C to Display Port cable, and both Steam and AOC shook hands almost instantly after power-up. Setting up resolution etc. is all done easily via Steam and hence not really part of this review.In conclusion then, I feel that £149 bought me an amazing amount of quality. This is a gaming monitor after all, so we're talking a little extra oomph, even. But given the many setup options the AOC menu offers, this would work just as competently as an ordinary computer display. I'm sure there are even better displays out there. But for me, this monitor scores on just about every level. And if it feels right, it probably is.

Il s’agit d’un très très bon écran 144Hz avec une dalle qui manque un peu de punch sur ça luminosité.Pour le reste la colorimetrie est très bonne et l’utiliser est très agréable.

Ich wollte jetzt nicht zu viel Geld für einen neuen Monitor ausgeben. Er sollte etwas größer als der alte sein (ich werde auch nicht jünger) und durfte nicht 4k sein. Ich habe eine Geforce 1060 GTX Grafikkarte und die reicht noch nicht aus, um Spiele bei ordentlicher Qualitätseinstellung auf 4k ruckelfrei anzutreiben.Nach etwas Recherchieren habe ich mich für den AOC 27" entschieden. Der Freesync Monitor lässt sich auf jeden Fall auch mit G-Sync einer Nvidia Karte betreiben. Hierzu sollte man aber sich mit dem Thema beschäftigen und sowohl Treiber als auch Spielesettings sauber einstellen, damit Spiele über 60 Hz auch ohne Fehler laufen. Man muss dabei bedenken, dass die Fähigkeit, Freesnc mit einer Geforce zu nutzen, noch recht jung ist, und Bugs nicht auszuschließen sind. Dennoch Spiele wie Doom, Overwatch und Co. rennen über 100 Hz ohne Tearing oder Flackern.Farben und Kontrast sollte man noch nachjustieren. Aber dafür bietet der Monitor einige Einstellungsmöglichkeiten. Auch muss mit dem Overdrive gespielt werden, damit Schriften beim Scrollen nicht zu sehr verschmieren. Aber auch hier gilt: Feinjustage bis es passt. Ich habe hierbei ein paar Tage herumprobiert und bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden.Die Verarbeitung des Monitors ist sehr gut. Viele Anschlussmöglichkeiten, ordentliches Kabelmanagement und der Bildschirm ist drehbar (also auch im Hochformat nutzbar). Die eingebauten Boxen sollte man in Ruhe lassen. Diese sind eine nette Dreingabe, aber für den Hörgenuss empfehlen sich anständige Boxen oder ein Kopfhörer.Das TN Panel war pixelfehlerfrei. Die Ausleuchtung ist zu den Rändern hin etwas unregelmäßig, bekommt man aber bei dunklen Flächen mit reduzierter Helligkeit zufriedenstellend in den Griff. Farbverfremdungen sind blickwinkelabhängig, aber nicht dramatisch. Reaktionszeit ist bei einem TN Panel natürlich gigantisch. Der Monitor ist für Spieler gedacht, aber eignet sich auch gut zum Filmeschauen, Surfen, Grafikbearbeitung und ich nutze ihn auch für das 3D Modelling mit Blender 3D.Was die 144HZ betrifft: Ich hätte es nie gedacht, aber selbst im Desktopbetrieb fühlen sich Mausbewegungen deutlich weicher an. Gerade bei der Thematik 3D Modelling merke ich einen Unterschied, da ich deutlich präziser arbeiten kann.

Ecran correspond parfaitement à mon exigence. Les couleurs sont très ternes de base mais avec une petite dizaine de minutes de réglages, l'image est superbe. Avec une latence de 1ms, convient très bien également pour les jeux les plus exigeants. Meilleur rapport qualité/prix que j'ai trouvé

Also ich kann ehrlich gesagt die ganzen negativen Bewertungen hier zu dem Monitor nicht verstehen, ich habe das Gerät selbst seit Juni 2018 und bin top zufrieden.Ich habe bisher keine Ausfälle gehabt, keine Pixelfehler und warum wird bei dem Gerät hier noch wegen den Farben und so rumgemotzt?Ich meine das ist ein Gaming-Monitor und kein Profi Gerät für Bildbearbeitung wo es darauf ankommt.Was das Thema mit dem 144Hz angeht die erreiche ich voll und ganz über den Display-Port anschluss, aber ich denke mal das die meisten die sich den Monitor geholt haben wissen das man die 144Hz nur über Display-Port erreicht.Dann komme ich zu der Sache das sich hier einige Leute aufgeregt haben weil der Monitor einen schmalen Rahmen hat und eben nicht ganz Rahmenlos ist, ich finde man kann es auch übertreiben und kleinlich sein, was die Bedienung des Gerätes angeht finde ich das es saugeil gelöst ist mit dem kleinen Joystick hinten dran und voll einfach.Ich verstehe auch nicht das hier manche leute erwarten das man bei einem Monitor mit integrierten Lautsprechern einen super Ton hat, ich meine die meisten Leute die sich den Monitor geholt haben, benutzen den ja im zusammen mit nem Gaming-PC und haben sowieso externe Lautsprecher.Ich kann den Monitor voll und ganz fürs Gaming, Arbeiten, Filme gucken ect. empfehlen.Ich hoffe ich konnte mit meiner Rezension einigen Leuten weiterhelfen die sich den Monitor kaufen wollen.
