Known as the Night-flowering jasmine, this fragrant specimen is the state flower of West Bengal. It is also known as the Parijat, Indian Lover’s Tree or Coral Jasmine. Extracts of its seeds, leaves and flowers have many pharmacological uses. A tropical native of India, this small tree boasts honey-fragrant blossoms which can be used for garlands or as a yellow dye source.
