It leaves me shaking the e-book.
I get it is it a romance book, I get it. Yes there is a strong build up for the romance, I can not pick on it. It delivered on the romance part but the antagonistic storyline needs work. Why? According to the storyline the main guy can't find love due to some complication from the past right? Well the complication is solved in maybe a chapter and a half. I could not even remember the complication until it was brought up again. That plot line was left wanting so that's why the low star rating.

Sorry. The language killed the story for me. Almost every sentence. In my opinion, it was unnecessary to the story & gave the characters a very limited vocabulary....especially in light of their occupations.

I expected more
Abby works at her family's pub. Tucker visits the pub and he and Abby hang out while she's tending bar and he's trying to stave off loneliness since his wife went missing three years ago in a plane accident. And once I learned that they had never legally declared her dead, I was waiting for the shoe to drop when Marley comes back to threaten the relationship that develops between T and A.We meet many of the Simons in this book and frankly there seemed to be so many that it got overwhelming, but I think that's the writing style and not my inability to grasp large families. There are a number of book series out there that seem to handle large families a bit better. So there's a series before this one that is about the Barker Triplets, if which I only read the first, mainly because it was about a female hockey player and I thought that was interesting on its own, but now I wonder if I needed to read the others two in order to understand what's happening in this book. There are references that made me feel like I was missing something, but I really think that goes to how the author chose to present the story.I would have liked this more if I could have read more about the burgeoning relationship between Abby and Tucker at the bar, the nights they spent getting to know each other. The author told us it happened, but I would have bought this couple more if I had read the build up. I was not fond of the ending either. There's resolution, but I wanted a better declaration from him at the end than come live is this crappy run down mansion with me.The writing got better as the story went on, with more showing, rather than telling, but there was sloppiness in this book, with typos and grammar issues. A good editor and proofer are necessary.

So sad and yet so sweet
I've just recently discovered this author and I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying her work. This book is #1 in the Family Stone series, is a stand alone, and I dare you to read it and not want more of the books.Tucker has been living a shell of his old life since his wife's plane disappeared and she was never found. His family has been there for him as much as he'd allow but Tucker has demons he must battle his way through. One thing that has helped him most is spending Wednesday evenings at the The Black Dog Pub with his favorite bartender Abby Matthews. The whole Matthews family reminds him of his own family but of course the only sister among the 6 brothers made her his favorite choice to hang with. But she's off limits, her brother Mick made no bones about that. And Tucker knows with his history he doesn't deserve someone like Abby anyway. So over the last year they've become good friends.Abby Matthews has been in love with Tucker almost since she first met him a year ago when he came into the pub. She's been through a lot with him, being a good listener and friend. Most importantly, she doesn't take any of his crap and calls him on it without regret. When Tucker needs a plus one for a family wedding she agrees to help him out. As a friend. What in the world was she thinking? It was wonderful to see the transition from friends to lovers and so on. I loved the metamorphosis of Tucker as slow realizations produce the angry green monster in him. But it was the unexpected twists and turns toward the end that had me anxiously reading to the last page. I loved the end, tears, oh my, have a tissue handy.

Love the 'we were friends first' romance
Abby is the part-owner of a family-owned bar and is friends with a 'regular' , Tucker.Tucker's wife has been missing for several years (lost in a plane crash) and he has been unable to close his old life and move onto a new one.Tucker asks Abby for a favor - to attend a wedding with him as his date for several reasons.Abby, already in love with Tucker, agrees and hopes she can keep her feelings in check.Abby is strong, she is talented (can draw), is perceptive, and a good person overall.Tucker, although still messed up over the loss of a wife that he loved, is finding himself feeling hopeful with Abby. Hope for closure, love and happiness.Abby and Tucker have great interactions. There is no high drama. But a pretty comfortable ride from friendship, to heated chemistry to love. The ending is a bit weak - the big reveal about his wife is a bit disappointing. I kept expecting that there would be a big story behind her disappearance.Would also loved to have a bit more info about Abby's drawing. She is supposedly very talented. Would have enjoyed to hear more about her successes as an artist. It wasn't really flushed out. Just briefly mentioned.I liked this 'simple' romance novel (I mean, that it was a comfortable ride, nothing outrageous) to a happy ending.

Love among best friends
I have no idea why I’ve had this book in my TBR list since 2014, when I bought the ebook. I totally loved this story of friends to lovers with some suspense thrown in. Tucker and Abby were friends for years and she accompanies him to a family wedding. There she meets all the family and complications begin. Thankfully, Tucker realizes that he loves Abby, but his past holds him back from declaring his love to her. The reappearance of his past causes some problems, but all is resolved and Tucker and Abby get their much needed HEA. I’ve read several of the books written by Ms Stone and enjoyed everyone. Love the Barker triplets and the Simon brothers.

This is a free book to introduce the reader to the Family Simon series. It started off well enough but then the story lost me when there was a sudden point of jeopardy, which was just as suddenly cleared up in a single scene. No mystery, no deadlock, no ultimatum required. Unfortunately I wasn't tempted to carry on with the other books in the series.I was also very surprised at the amount of mistakes in the book, considering that a professional editor has been included in the credits.

mm delicious gorgeous Simons
OMG I think I am in lust with these new attractive troublesome handsome as sin Simon's. Its do strange I read all three of the books about the sisters and didn't gave yo re read them to feel so attuned to these new set if stories it was like meeting up with long list friends. Mmmm cant wait to get the scoop in cooper and jack and even Abby brother mike all have they're own individual back stories. This story was bittersweet. To feel his pain and regret and the depth of his hollowness was tough to read but makes it that much sweeter that he got to fall in love with Abby. The family is formidable but underlined with love and protectiveness that you just don't get these days. Lovely read

Good Read
I enjoyed this book, but have to say there are quite a few typing errors, also I am not a fan of having a chapter from the next book at the end,

Loved it
I have read this twice and found it to be equally as good both times. It is an excellent plot and the characters are well-developed and likeable. It is good to read a romance novel which is clean, without being inundated with all of the details of sexual activities. This is compelling reading and contains excitement, anticipation and anxiety. I have also read the next book in the series and enjoyed it so much that I am about to start reading it again. This is an excellent series

Loved this book and going to read the others now. The characters were loveable and believable and I want to find out about the others now.I am a pensioner but believe these books are suitable for any age group. The sex is there without all the pure filth in a lot of books I have recently read. Loved it and recommend this book x
