Amazon Basics 60 inch Lightweight Tripod with Bag, Black

I started my career as a freelance photographer at age 24. I retired at age 82. I have owned and used many tripods in that time span. I ordered this tripod because it seemed like a good choice for personal use. I was amazed when I opened the package and set it up. For small (as in light) cameras is professional quality and a super value. Excellent build quality and features. Sorry I did not buy one while in the business.

I got this tripod for my college crime scene photography class, and it works very well for what I need it for! It does seem a bit cheaply made, but for the price, it makes sense. It is easy to set up and tear down. The bag also makes it nice and easy to store.

Used it for a spotting scope just yesterday, 6/6/2025. Great purchase. The price is excellent for the quality. It isn't the most sturdy tripod that I have used, but you aren't actively moving it a bunch. It's stable and has a built-in level. It functions just as you would expect and is very convenient due to how portable it is.

It blows my mind how this is as cheap as it is. It's not the most bulletproof, smooth operating tripod out there but for the price, it's hard to justify most other tripods out there. This is stable, compact, and comes with great features like the level. If you need a tripod in a pinch or just like to have one on hand for the offchabce you need one for your Canon or Nikon, this is the one if nothing else for the price to performance ratio!!

Made out of aluminum and plastic, it feels very light weight but can lose its sturdiness. for the price is does the job!

I really like this little tripod but when fully extended it seems a little flimsy. For the price it is what I would expect.

This tripod works OK, but isn't sturdy enough to hold my spotting scope steady . You get what you pay for amd I knew it was cheap.

Stability 10/10 it works great for my camera, the size is perfect and I can take it with me anywhere. Love it!
