Meh.
I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine who had to wear a bowtie as a part of his uniform for work. It lasted about a month, and then the strap snapped. We stapled it, as he was unable to get another one at the time, but it soon snapped on the other side. In no way was the elastic band under any stress from his neck. He is very thin. Overall, the tie itself was very nice, but it was unfortunately set on a rather faulty strap.

Nice statement tie
My musician loved to wear this for occasional performances. Not the most sturdy construction, but for once or twice year, it is more than sufficient. Looks great on!

Too floppy
It looks very nice, but it's not very sturdy. The fabric is nice feeling but it's too floppy and easily messed up.
