Good text for learning pronunciation; practical stories
These short stories were a fairly fun way to familiarize myself with Arabic words, sounds and pronunciation. The free MP3 audio files of each story (the links and instructions are at the back of the book) are absolutely essential to the reading of this ebook, especially if one is a beginner at learning Arabic. In order to really follow along, however, I recommend that one familiarize oneself first with the Arabic alphabet and how to pronounce each letter. This will help greatly when following along in the ebook with the audio files. The short stories were surprisingly entertaining to me. They are light (not too heavy on plot) and oftentimes practical and instructional, but they were still interesting enough to hold my attention. The practical parts (such as grocery shopping directions and recipes) will be useful in real life if I ever manage to visit an Arabic-speaking country. I was pleased to discover that almost all the stories are related to one another and follow a progression. They are not 30 isolated short stories. At first, a few of the stories seem unrelated (such as recipes for baking) but then, as I read on, I discovered that they still relate to the other stories and characters. All in all, these short stories constituted a reasonably enjoyable (albeit simplistic) Arabic learning experience.

Poor quality
Not worth your money. The digital edition is all types of wrong (letters not connected and things are mixed up). And as such uncomfortable to read. This ebook is of poor quality.

Arabic text does not render correctly on iPhone, iPad and Cloud Reader
I do not have a kindle device and hence this book was totally useless. Hope the publishers can do some testing before releasing. The arabic letters are disjointed. I still hope, they can release an update for me to use the book.

Unsuitable—in fact UNUSABLE—for beginners!
Not for beginners. It isn’t even designed for Arabic learners! The introduction is explicitly written for people who want to learn English, not Arabic. It looks like they just took a simple English primer and translated it to English. No though was given to its usefulness to a beginning Arabic language learner. No pronunciation guides or any indication how to read the Arabic scrip, the Arabic text is entirely without vowel marks, so even if you already know the alphabet (as I do) you have no way of learning any new vocabulary in this text. Completely useless as a language resource for beginners.

So pleased
Perfect. I was looking for this kind of learning. I have been learning Arabic for a long time but still feel very much a beginner.

Awfully written
The book is awfully written. There are many letters written in their isolated form instead of linked to the word. (Written separately as if they were a word on their own). It's really difficult to read, this way, as you don't know where each word begins or ends.

Rather boring and inauthentic
I‘m disappointed by this product. The stories are more than boring. It’s rather a description of a persons day than a story. Absolutely no plot or exciting things happening. The stories seem to be translated from English into Arabic because they are set in English/American cities. For example, stories 1-3 were a narration of Sarah’s first day at work in Birmingham. She forgot her lunch, but talked to her colleagues and that was nice. This nonsense story is split into three to make the book longer, I guess. That way it quickly becomes „20 short stories“.In addition to the inauthentic stories, there are quite a lot of mistakes in the book, which mostly stem from translation. For example Sarah’s story is narrated from the first person. Up until half way into the text, the adjectives used to describe Sarah are in the masculine form. Only when she dresses and puts on a dress, the text starts using the feminine adjectives. It’s almost as if the translator had not noticed before that this was a story of a woman. The English-Arabic system works well though. After each sentence comes the translation. The vocabulary is basic and good. I won’t recommend the book earlier that A2/B1 and the learner should already be quite fluent in reading.Definitely nothing for entertainment, but good if one works with a book without long and coherent texts.

Loads of mistakes
This download is full of mistakes. Medial and final letters aren't connected properly therefore the book is actually more difficult to read and not good at all for beginners. This appears to be a formatting issue as there are also letters in the wrong places.
