A good and stimulating read for beginning students and for review by established preachers. The author is very experienced and was thoroughly informative in detailing the art, the language, preparation and delivery of a well-thought out sermon.

It's a great book and a very easy read. I really enjoyed it. The book provided very relevant views as well as comparisons and contracts of Black Preaching. I found Dr LaRue's story enlightening and his life story was captivating. Additionally the reference books mentioned will make a great addition to my personal library someday.

Still reading, but it is a good book to gain understanding on the culture of African American and other styles of preaching.

This book was required reading for a seminary class. It provides a primer for preparing a sermon. It also breaks down some of the nuances of preparing a sermon that resonates with an African-American audience. I enjoyed it.

This book is a real eye-opener into the why and how of African American preaching. It describes the feeling and the reasons behind the different feel of African-American worship.

have completed book yet but, it a great boo. Its refers to great example that I can use in preaching.

An academic review of the literature and great practical application shared and illustrated through storytelling. A must read.

I didn't want kindle edition. I want a proper book. Thought that was what I was paying for
