Glad I bought this one
What's not to like? Having 2 heads gives you a broad spread of light. Two light levels on each side lets you adjust to ambient conditions (wouldn't mind having a third level, lower than either of these two, for very low-light conditions). Good strong clip means it isn't going to get knocked off the music stand easily. I very much like having multiple power options, so batteries can be saved whenever an outlet is available. Wouldn't it be nice if it had the capability to charge up re-chargeable batteries whenever it is plugged into a wall socket?"Full disclosure" -- a few days after I received my light, and after having already written the review, I received an offer to buy a second one at a substantial discount. I bought the second one, because I know I'll either want to replace the first one if I ever wear it out or break it, or I'll end up giving the second one to another musician as a gift that I know they'll appreciate.

Probably worth what I paid...
The light does not cover a large area, even on the "High" (i.e., two-light) setting. If you have two side-by-side sheets of music on your stand, and shine one light on each page, it is very difficult to position the lights so that they illuminate the whole page without shadowed areas. The clip is weak, and doesn't hold well to the stand. The arms are very flimsy, and don't keep their shape, so the lighted area will move while you play. The lights drain the batteries very quickly; I used the product for only a couple hours and the lights faded noticeably in that time. Also, if you put your light in a bag with other items, the buttons can easily be pressed enough to turn the light on, and then the batteries will drain even more.To sum up, I will probably eventually become sufficiently annoyed with this item to purchase a different (no doubt more expensive) replacement.

It does give a good spread of light however seems very lightly built (which is a plus I guess when sitting atop your paper music). Just not sure of durability if you're gigging with them. But if ever there was a non-brainer purchase on-line, this is it. The product is great BUT the company behind these lights is second to none. I had an issue with the AC adapter not only did I receive a replacement (which worked wonderfully) I also got a full refund on my original purchase for my troubles. UNHEARD OF customer service these days. So even if you purchase and are unhappy, I know the folks at Pro Music Kit will work to make you happy. Just incredible customer service for the price point these things sell at. Well done Pro Music Kit!

Great product for a great price.
So happy with this purchase. I had previously purchased a book stand light at Barnes and Nobles. With the one arm, hammerhead light, it provided all the light I was looking for when I practice. However it was battery operated and a number of times I forgot to turn of the light only to come back to a dead lamp. After 3 weeks and about 4 battery changes I decided to go with a corded lamp. I couldn't believe the price for this corded music stand lamp and the multitude of positive reviews floored me.I love how the music stand light has a USB cord that can also be plugged into your computer. My computer is closer than an electrical outlet so this worked out perfectly for me. I also like the two lamp light arms which allow me more flexibility in directly my light source. And I like how I do have the option of using battery power, if the occasion arises. On a curious note, in the two weeks I have had the light, I have only left it on once . . . hmmm . . .Side note. Pro Music contacted me and asked me to post a positive review of their product. The owner said if I felt the need to post a negative review contact them first so they can resolve any issues. This is a great and inexpensive product, so I kinda felt obligated to post something for them. OTOH, it probably explains why this product has so many good reviews. They contact their buyers and we feel that we have to post something good for this great product.

Four Stars trending toward Five
I received a discount on these lights in exchange for providing a review. My preliminary opinion is very favorable. I received them a few days ago. They arrived well packaged, appear sturdy, and are not very heavy. The light is bright, and the charger cord for AC power is long enough to be functional. I ordered them as a portable light for my choir music binder and they worked very well for me; the choir director was also pleased as they were not distracting to others. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to general durability or battery usage at this time, as I have had them for less than a week but I plan to update my review after the holiday season.

A significant improvement over the seemingly identical $3 units
Update after using it for 6 months:It's a great light; I use it every day. I only wish I could buy more, but they are no longer available.Original Review:I bought one of these from ProMusic to see how it compared to the really cheap ones I've been using and, while it looks exactly the same it is a lot brighter. Instead of using three batteries in parallel, it has them somehow in series (the batteries insert different directions). This makes the ProMusic version much brighter when using batteries, although battery life may suffer. Another improvement is that the USB chord is a proper 6 foot length on the ProMusic version, so the charger and chord don't have to hang in the air. Hopefully this will result in longer life for the chord. Unfortunately, the ProMusic version is much dimmer on 110 VAC power than on batteries. It is still bright enough for everyday use in my practice room, but I wouldn't want to depend on it for gigs. If this light lasts, it will be worth the extra money both for the brightness on battery power and the usability of the AC power unit (longer chord).
