Reading the reviews of this book, they only underscore the fact when it comes to erotic photography, beauty and taste are in the eye of the beholder. I want to ask Mr. Texas if the cover photo counts as as upscale elegance or smut.Personally I find no smut in this book. I own it, love it, feature it prominently on my book shelf and find it sensually appealing as an art book from a sophisticated, more European perspective. The quality of the paper, inks and printing layout is first class as noted.Frank De Mulder probes female eroticism without dehumanizing his models. If Senses is open to any criticism, it's for not being smutty enough.If you like Terry Richardson, you will find Frank de Mulder erotic milk toast. Nobody gets dragged through the mud in this beautiful book. Yet, it's explicit and what I want, as a woman, from erotic photography.So many American women are neurotic about our derriere's. Senses reminds me that I now like mine. There is nothing degrading about this book unless you are a woman easily offended by female physicality. I say we should learn to celebrate our bodies, and Mulder's photography only advances that goal for women and men with a more European perspective on erotic photography.

Still on my coffee table ,big and nicely put together,all the pictures are wonderful and the women played the parts they were pictured for,a must have for lookers and collectors.

This book has tons of large fullpage photos and 10 of them are extremely great! However there are another 10 or so that are pure smut. It isn't what I was hoping and has made for some poor coffee table feedback when girls particularly review the book. There are better books which will provide positive feedback

There are four books in this series by Mulder, Senses, Pure, Heaven, and Glorious. Each is a massive 15" tall, 11" wide book that's 1.6" thick and they weigh about three or four pounds each. Point being, these are truly impressive coffee table books, and they are superbly made, printed in Belgium on very high grade paper. But, enough about production quality.Mulder's photography skills are absolutely fantastic. He's found the most beautiful women in Europe, and he's photographed them in a wild variety of settings and situations, from seemingly normal, to exotic, to naughty sexy, to cute and innocent - he shows his skills at capturing every mode and every mood. All four of the books are largely black and white with some gorgeous color work mixed in, and Senses is no exception to the rule.Senses is a spectacular book you really will want on the shelf, along with all the books in this series, if you're a photographer or just appreciate beautiful women. I managed to acquire a like-new used copy recently and I am amazed by this man's skills. I do photography myself and have been photographing models for almost thirty years, I am astonished by how good this man is, especially given the settings and the lighting conditions he had to work with. This is erotic and artistic photography at its finest.Buy it while you can, this will be one of those books that just keeps increasing in value - and get all four books if you can! Cannot recommend this one strongly enough.

...I won't say this book is bad, but personally, I prefer models with artistic pose, but Mulder's book has many "Playboy" style photos...I'm not sure if he is a contract photographer of Playboy or not, but somehow I'd recommend books from Bruno Bisang or Bruno Poinsard. But the design and making of this book is very good, good paper quality, good color, good printing..!!

Senses by Frank De Mulder is a very enjoyable nude photography book. The models seem very comfortable with themselves and their bodies. The photos highlight the models womanly curves and the facial expressions denote many moods and emotions. The photos are mainly black and white with some color photos interspersed, with a ratio of approximately 10:1. The photos were taken both indoors and outdoors. Most of the models are nude except for shoes and jewelry. If you enjoy seeing beautiful women in the nude then you will enjoy Senses.

Excellent high glamour photographs, slick and well composed with very beautiful models. Eroticism is very high yet I would suggest still acceptable as a coffee table book in most liberal households. Recommended.

...ist nicht nur das Format des Bildbandes, wenn man ihn zum ersten Mal in den Händen hält: bei ca 37 x 28 cm will schon überlegt sein, in welches Bücherregal man ihn parken kann. Nach dem ersten intensiveren Studium will man ihn aber gar nicht mehr im Regal verstecken, viel zu faszinierend ist der Inhalt: ca 120 Seiten mit ganzseitigen oder gar doppelseitigen Fotos nee, richtiger: Lichtbilder wunderschöner Frauen in lasziven, teilweise aufreizenden Posen, die natürliche Wirkung ist kunstvoll-unauffällig, und damit perfekt arrangiert. Dass die Qualität der Lichtführung und technischen Umsetzung (meist b/w, in leichter Sepia-Tönung oder seltener: wie coloriert) ebenso perfekt ist, versteht sich fast von selbst.Nach dem Trend der Verlage zu Pixi-Büchlein mit briefmarkengrossen Motiven endlich mal wieder ein richtiger, echter BILDBAND. Klasse, und absolut seinen Preis wert. Verdiente, fette fünf Sterne.
