National Geographic Road Atlas 2025: Adventure Edition [United States, Canada, Mexico]

A good adjunct to a mapping program.
I love this road atlas. Yes, you can use any number of mapping programs and I do use them for directions or for a specific trip but I have found them hard to use for planning a trip because you can't see the overall area you are visiting. I use the atlas to look for places I might want to detour through or route through when passing through an area.

High quality
Very high quality map book. Great detail and easy to use. As described it is an oversized map book so expect that it doesn't fold up like older maps used in a car. Very accurate, as expected from National Geographic.

Don’t miss points of interest on your drive
We purchased for a summer road trip. Sure we all some sort of GPS, but we did t want to miss anything on the way to our destination. This Atlas gives you details on points of interest that you can find along the way. This is easy to read and must have for alternate routes.

Worth the money
My husband and I would like to travel to state and national parks and purchased this to plan our trips. The atlas is high quality, easy to read and very large (which we love). It’s definitely worth the money. If you are looking for a high quality atlas, purchase this one.

Great
Okay, maybe I was ordering it in the middle of the night but I was not expecting it to be that big of a book, but it’s convenient since I can’t really read small prints always.

A must for planning road trips.
I love this atlas. I love road trips and I love to sit and plan routes to travel and sights to see. The atlas is large, durable, very complete, and very user friendly. I use the internet for looking up points of interest shown in the atlas, but nothing on the internet gives you the large scale planning perspective of this atlas.

Important trips require more than a GPS. Get an Atlas
Long trips that need more planning than a GPS require an Atlas. Nothing beats Rand McNally for ease and clarity to find the right routes from coast to coast. I've used them for years and stores don't put them on the shelf like they used to. Update every year or two to keep up with the changes.

Wonderful purchase!
This book is HUGE! BUT, it makes it so easy to read! We use our phones for GPS, of course. But we highlight our atlas to keep track of all the roads we have been on and places we've been. For us, it is a visual reminder of travel, not a map. But, if we ever need a map, this would be easy to read, FOR SURE!
