Dr. Seuss' The Cat In The Hat (Widescreen Edition)

I was dared by my friend RoastBeefSalad to watch this movie 20 times before he watched it once. He didn't expect me to do it but I did. I watched this movie 20 times, and then I kept watching it. I couldn't stop. I've come to realize that this isn't just some simple children's film. This has layers. Every new viewing is a new experience, a new reveal of understanding of what this film is trying to say. The worldbuilding is fascinating, and by turns terrifying. The shot composition is like Jodorowsky without limits. The humor is avant garde. To watch The Cat in the Hat is to feel like going insane. Trust me--I've been there!It's funny what a film can do to a man when he's had to watch and study it 32 times over 15 months. He develops a sense of comfort. Of belonging. This is the film the world needs now.Kids loved it.

I don't really feel this movie is for children. A lot of innuendos in this movie that were very inappropriate. Funny, but I think Dr. Seuss deserved better.

I love Mike Meyers. Funny if you are an adult. Not appropriate for kids, in my opinion. Reminded me of a watered down Austin Powers. It was all the adult humor and sexual innuendos.

I have a high threshold for kid and tween movies. This was just horrific. Creepy in not a good way, boring and not funny at all. We had to turn this one off. I feel like if Jim Carrey had been the Cat then this would have been WAY better.

Very funny, and a nice take on the original children's book. A sequel was planned, but cancelled due to poor theater ticket sales. I'm 51 years old, watched this on DVD with my daughter, and it had me grinning until my face hurt.Not really good material for young children. The movie rating is "PG". This means you won't want your five year-old to watch it. Would you want your ten year-old to watch "Alien", "The Thing" or "Phantasm"? Those would give them nightmares for weeks!We thought it great, but my daughter is 13. Yes, I have those other movies, and no, she can not watch them yet.

there is sexual hints, and violence, and the movie is just not that good. Granted it is Dr. Seuss so, it is supposed to be strange but, this is just bad.

I thought this would be a great kids movie for my daughter and I. NO! Wrong! Its got all kind of adult content. My daughter was so uncomfortable I turned it off right after the cat got into the house. TERRIBLE

I really enjoy the movie as an adult, however I think there are some not so discreet adult humor in it that's not necessary. There are some one liners that yes are funny but if a kid was to repeat it, it wouldn't be. For example the cat looks at the camera after he steps on a garden ho and says "you dirty ho" funny but not appropriate for a kids movie.

Delivery quick me and my grandchildren loved watching this film nice for all ages

Un film que j'ai eu du mal à trouver en Bluray! Heureusement, je suis client du site sur le Canada, USA, Grande-Bretagne et Allemagne! Cela permet de trouver certains films en Bluray VF introuvable chez moi! Ce film en fait partie pour le plus grand plaisir de mes filles!
