My board/mat just arrived and I quickly transferred my in progress 1000 piece Cobble Hill puzzle (finished size to be approximately 27” x 20”). These dimensions just fit with about a two inch leeway on the width side so if your 1000 piece puzzle’s finished dimensions are larger than this it won’t fit.The board is light weight and bends a bit more toward being flexible rather than rigid. However, it is sturdy enough to gently pick up the board to relocate. The felt is not wrinkled and sticky like other boards but I didn’t want a board that grabbed the pieces so you can work on an angle as I like working my puzzles on a flat surface and being able to slide the pieces around as you would on a regular table. The board/mat is dark felted gray on one side and black on the other. The textures are slightly different but you can easily slide the pieces around on either side. One side might be a little smoother but not that much different than the other side. As one other reviewer mentioned having one dark and one lighter side would have been nice so you could pick the side that would work best for your puzzle’s colors. Dark puzzle pieces are hard to see on the darker surface.When it says it fits a 1000 piece puzzle it means the finished size of the puzzle without allowance for extra space to lay pieces around the edges. If you want extra working space on the board you’ll need to do a smaller 500 piece puzzle. Depends what your needs are as to whether you’ll feel it’s large enough. I use my tidy boxes to sort my pieces and my surrounding table to play with possible arrangements. I can use inside the border of the puzzle to push and pull pieces around to locate placement. So far I’m pleased with my purchase. I wanted a simple board mat without frills and this is what I got albeit it’s a bit pricy but much nicer, neater looking, and sturdier to use than my cardboard or poster board. Also it comes with a simple plastic cover to keep dust out if you need to store your puzzle under the couch when you need to use your dining table.Assess how you want to use your table puzzle board before you purchase. I researched a lot of different types, read the reviews and opted for this one without regrets.

So glad I got this to replace the giant piece of bumpy cardboard I was using. This mat is smooth and easy to work on, plus it’s lightweight enough to move to another room. It holds a finished 5000 piece puzzle, but not all the unfinished pieces will fit on the mat. I solved this problem by cutting out 3 cardboard rectangles (approx. 20” x 12”) to use for the extra pieces. It makes working puzzles even more fun. I put similar looking pieces together on each board and then when I’m working on, say the sky area, I just bring in the board that has the sky pieces. No more hunting for pieces on the other side of the table. When it’s time to move everything I just stack the cardboard on top and off I go. Highly recommended!

I am really happy with this puzzle board, however, I have only given it 4 stars because it will not hold a 1,000 piece puzzle. I learned this the hard way and with through a real mess trying to move my puzzle to a larger board to hold this puzzle.Outside of this problem, I would highly recommend this Ditmoe Puzzle board for anything other than a 1,000 piece puzzle.

It doesnt lay flat on your lap without bending on the edges so I have lost a few pieces that were already put together. Size is nice, color and felt are also nice. I just wish it were thicker and sturdier.

I absolutely love this product. It’s easy to use. So sturdy and not at all bulky. All of my 1000 piece puzzles have fit perfectly so far! I can move it around as much as I want too! There are 2 sides to the board one with felt that definitely holds the pieces in place and the other side a bit smoother for those that like to move their pieces around more freely. I’ve been looking for a great puzzle board for some time now and am ecstatic that I was able to find this one! Thank you for a great product! It’s honestly helped me immensely I’ve never been able to just sit and finish a puzzle and so far I’ve completed about 3 or 4 in the short time that I’ve had it!

Bought this for my mother in law as she’s always doing puzzles. There always on her dining table and when she has guest she’s takes them apart and we feel so bad. This works great now cause not only does it keep her from taking it apart but it hold her 1000 piece puzzles! She really enjoys being able to move it and continue whenever she likes. The cover also is nice from having her dog get to it.

I would definitely recommend this board mat. I wanted to use a small folding table to assemble a 1000 piece puzzle, but the top was not wide enough. This mat extended beyond the top of the table, but was sturdy enough that it did not sag at all and the puzzle pieces stayed securely in place. I could even pick up the mat and move it to another table without disturbing a single piece of the puzzle. I think 1000 pieces is the max this mat will hold.

I think this Mat is definitely too expensive for what it is, but at the same time I absolutely love it. I was torn between the rollup type or this type and I went with this type. I’m so glad I did! It was shipped in a very large flat box never bent, so there are no creases. It lays completely flat and I can move it from the kitchen area to the bench on the side of my bed whenever needed and it’s completely hidden there. It also comes with a cover that may be beneficial if you have cats or small children. I think the price should definitely be less, but I completely recommend it! So happy to find this!!

Good for 1,000 piece puzzles. Solid board/mat. Could not figure out what the checkered sheet was for. Had to return to listing to find it is a dust or puzzle cover.Nice item but expensive!
