The quality is fine and I was surprised to find that running the tires backwards propels it forwards. I thought it was just a model, not a real toy. Found the kind in me, for sure.

My sister loved this model. It was the first car she owned. It brought back many memories.

Very nice little Mustang. But it is not 64 1/2 model. I had one of those first cars which I kept for over 25 years. The 64 1/2 did not have the metal rocker plates on the bottom of the doors. I believe the 65 was the first one to have those on the mustangs. Sure wish I had my first car back! It was a great car and I really miss it. A lot of memories in that car.

We've had several classic cars over the years and my husband has begun collecting "Hot Wheels" in the cars we've had. He then repaints them to make them exactly like the ones we owned! It is a fun and inexpensive hobby. I struggled finding a '64 1/2" mustang in Hot Wheels so I compromised with with and he was happy with it! He just finished it today and it now sits on a shelf in his office along with the others. :)Love that the doors open. It has a pull-back spring but he won't likely use that because it isn't really a "toy" just something to represent a memory. :)

I have a collection of diecast (toy) automobiles and this Mustang is a worthy addition.
