Great for knee support and pain relief
This knee band works. I've tried other knee bands that were not as effective and were returned. I was suffering from knee pain while walking, climbing stairs, etc. The band provides the right amount of pressure on the tendon and stays in place. The band consists of a rubber tube that is placed on the tendon. I have muscular legs (15 1/2) and the large fit perfectly. With exercises and wearing the band, I quickly had pain relief and mobility once again.

Best Quality
Choose this over the Dr. Shock Brand. Stronger velcro hold, a little thicker inside rubber support band.Great product! I will buy this brand from now on😀👍

Miraculous!
EDIT: February, 2019 - velcro wears out after a time. Ordered two new ones - ***design has changed significantly.***The rubber piece is smaller, the material and velcro are different. Hope the comfort level and relief are the same. Why the change?Have two torn menisci in left knee, pain is intermittent, most of the time no pain. Strap helps with tennis, would not play without.I'm an over 65 tennis player who plays singles 3-4 times a week. I had meniscus surgery 20 years ago, and knee has been getting progressively more painful. Had three Euflexxa injections which offered relief for only a few weeks. I thought my tennis career might be ending, when I met a guy on the court who recommended this strap. The results were miraculous! No pain, on or off the court. I'm running like a 20-year-old, and playing great. I don't know exactly howor why it works (either did knee doc) but don't care. If you have knee pain, try this!

Less is truly more
Minimalist construction, yet it does all it's supposed to do, hold that knee joint together! Other straps use a large, bulky pad to keep things in place; this one uses a strategically-placed, comfortable, foam ridge to do the job. This makes the whole band thinner and require less velcro to hold it firmly, yet comfortably on the knee.

Gets the job done...BUT
I had a knee issue where any plyometrics or jumping/lifting done would lead to swelling and flaring of the knee. I went to the doctor and it was as expected a very severe case of jumpers knee. I'm a high jumper so it's pretty common to get. I was told to order these by my physician AND THESE WORK WONDERS!! It took a couple weeks but I am 100% healed after wearing these knee straps. I no longer feel any pain while doing my workouts or competing. They add the extra support you need to the patella tendon. The only reason I'm giving these 3 stars is because they wear down very quickly. I can no longer use these as they pop loose once I start jogging or jumping around. The Velcro wears off really quick and they are pretty much unusable now. I'd look into knee sleeves if you want durability

Strap Review
I don’t use the straps for patellar tendinitis as described on Amazon. I use it for ITBS and seems to work real well. I’ve had these for years.

Not a miracle cure but definately alleviates pain associated with patella problems.
This is keeping me on the road when I would otherwise be sidelined. I started getting significant knee pain that made it difficult to walk up and down steps. This pretty much eliminated that. It kills me when people buy this without knowing their problem and slam it when it doesn't help there torn ACL, sprained ankle, or headache etc. Be realistic people. If you know you have a patella problem this should help. If you suspect you have a patella problem it is cheap enough to give a whirl which is what I did. I still wear it on long runs but am trying to wean myself off of it. It fits me well (6'2", 185lbs) and does not slip or slide while running. Very satisfied for the price.UPDATE: 1/2/2014 I was able to wean myself off of this. Ran a half marathon in the middle of November without it. I attribute both to being able to continue to train and strengthen my knee by using this product.

AMAZON SIZE CHART IS WRONG! See attached picture
So I ordered two of these on recommendation from my physical therapist due to patellar tendinitis. I measured my knee exactly as the photo said to and ordered two of the regular size. When I received them, I put one on and noticed that the Velcro was scratching against the back of my knee. Tried it on the other knee, same thing, still super uncomfortable. There was at least a half inch gap of scratchy Velcro exposed on the back of my knee. I looked at the back of the box and noticed that the sizing was different than what is listed on this site. According to the box, I should have gotten a large. Luckily Amazon was great about it and refunded my money (and told me to donate the straps), but they need to update the sizing! Now I have to order them again when I could have just gotten the right size if they had the correct information posted. The straps do seem to be very comfortable on the knee and I’m looking forward to getting the right ones.
