I'm in my 70's and am tired of making a big mess when I change my Honda 250 rebel motorcycle oil. The first one got lost in the mail, so I was sent another one. I wanted this to work so much, but alas, I couldn't get it to fit. The Amazon sight said that it didn't fit my 2013 motorcycle, but the manufacturer said that it would. So I ordered it and hoped for the best. I am disappointed, but not in the idea, the workmanship or the service, just that it didn't fit. Oh well, at my age I won't have many more oil changes to do.

Changing oil in my Honda tracked snow blower always created quite a mess, which this valve completely alleviated. The only negative is the price and if you misplace the insert piece you can't buy it seperately.I have since found the same type of valve made with aluminum instead of SS at almost half the price.

From the photos you can see the original drain plug is a 17mm. The oil pan does not accommodate the bolt size for the Votex quick valve. I so wanted this to work but it doesn't fit inside the narrow slot on the oil pan. I gave it a one because I had to give it a rating (yet it's a great product). Please Votex if you have one that has a smaller bolt head I'll gladly buy one.

7/15/2023 so far no leakage for my 2011 328i bmw. Screwing this valve was a bit tight but worked as intended. Sadly the fumoto product I bought before this product did not fit because it only screwed in half way before the small L shaped bracket got in the way of the pan. I will provide updates if anything changes.

Pretty much a must for BMW X3. Got sick of having oil run down my arm, this solved the problem. Absolutely no mess. Can’t recommend this enough.

I install it for six months now and I install it on my transmission pan Yukon, 2003

Both the Website and Amazon said it would fit a 2012 BMW X1. It screws in but the 24 mm socket has no room to go on. I had to use vice grips but have no idea if its tight enough. I also had to cut out a piece of the Under Carriage plastic with a saw. Of course the Oil Drain Plug BMW door cover you can’t use anymore. This should not be listed as fits BMW X1 2012.
