Strong material, secure hook and lightweight!

This leash is the best of both worlds: A lightweight yet sturdy, secure feeling leash. I purchased the Small for my medium-sized dog and it's great. The construction is solid and it has a comfortable grip. I love that I can attach accessories in a separate section below the grip, so they don't interfere with the handle at all. Very smart design element. Note: if you're used to those thicker rope leashes, the diameter used for the Small may feel too light at first, but once you get used to it you will really appreciate it.

This leash is perfect. The carabiner has a locking mechanism that secures the leash stays connected to the dog collar. This leash is just as good as the leather training leashes.

This is the second time I've purchased this leash. The first has received hundreds of uses without showing any sign of degradation, fraying, weakness, etc. I bought a second one to keep in my car at all times since there was a few times I accidentally left without a leash. I will buy a third someday when I need it. These are excellent, comfortable, and reliable leashes. I also love the carabiner connector because it feels very strong and allows you to swivel lock it, further improving the strength of the connection. These also work great with the "Jerk-Ease Bungee Dog Leash Extension" product. I have 2 of those, one for each leash.

Anyone with an energetic dog has experienced a seemingly decent leash that has become unattached. The Ruffwear leash has a locking carribeaner that will prevent that when properly attached which is easy. Also-I was anticipating the handle to be a bit ruff to hold (pun intended), since the leash is rope-based, but it is quite comfortable thanks to a somewhat soft oversized webbing cover in the handle area. I am very pleased and I strongly suspect this leash will outlast others we’ve had. We’ve had several Ruffwear vests for dogs we’ve had over the years, and they’ve been quite robust.

Bought this for my Granddog, ELLA, a Basset. She is strong and a puller on a leash. This is the 3 RUFFWEAR leash she owns. She is a fashion statement...lol.Her leash must match her RUFFWEAR harness. She was "Little Red Riding Hood" for the past 2 years. Time for a change. So now she is sage green for spring walks with the HUMAN Dad. Of course she looks adorable !!I only gave it 4 stars because the leash colors DO NOT MATCH all the harness colors. SO this black is an accent color...lol.My daughter is OCD and matchy matchy. But we are ALL happy with ELLA's spring outfit.The quality deserves 10+ stars. The harness wears like iron. And the leash is strong !!Now if we can just get the colors to match... WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD THIS WOULD BE.Please do not hesitate to purchase RUFFWEAR. Fabulous product.

This leash is very comfortable on your hand especially if you have a dog who pulls. It’s sturdy and I like all the color options. Normally we buy it from the company because of the warranty but we needed one overnight. The part on the handle where you can put dog bags will wear out after a while and the stitching will unravel there but the leash is still usable.

My dog is pretty good on a leash so twisting and pulling is generally not an issue for me. I have found that as the rope twists, it curls up. However, this has not been a major issue for me.My issue is when my dog gets wet, he shakes a lot. He shakes a lot in his rain jacket. His rain jacket shaking on him unhooks traditional leash hooks. The carabiner on this leash fixes that problem. I have had no problems with the lock coming loose, even through the shakes.My dog is a greyhound with powerful legs. When he stops and insists on staying in that spot, pulling on him is useless. Additionally, he has tried to get at squirrels. The leash has held up to his power without any signs of give.One thing I think would solve everyone's rope twist issue is a good sturdy swivel. Twisting is going to be a problem with any leash, but most leashes come with a swivel at the hook. This one has the carabiner attached directly to the rope.

No escaping this leash - I only needed the smaller size it turns out but my beagle will not get loose from this leash! And the shape is easier on my trigger fingers and arthritic fingers.

Habe diese Leinen für unsere Rhodesian Ridgebacks seit rund 20 Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden. Gutes Handling mit verriegelbarem Alukarabinerhaken. Gute Sichtbarkeit bei Nacht durch Reflexband und sehr haltbar (mehr als 10 Jahre bei täglichem Gebrauch bei unseren Leinen).Daher klare Kaufempfehlung.

Beagle and I walk mostly off lead circa 10 miles per day but when a lead becomes necessary - near a road / town centre - this is very good lead; comfortable and a good length.

Resistente y el mosqueton es muy seguro. No gira sobre si misma pero estoy contenta con su uso.

Guinzaglio leggero è super-maneggevole, nonostante il moschettone fisso, il cane quando è in trazione (Pit Bull/8mesi) basta un piccolo colpo per far avvertire il comando per la giusta traiettoria/direzione.
