Love Claritin 12 hour Reditabs!
I like the Claritin ready tab 12 hour strength. My pharmacy doesn't carry the 12 hour anymore. Only the 24 hour. Amazon is the only place I've found it recently. I like the fact that I don't have any side effects with the 12 hour.

only daytime one that works for me
I take this almost every day when my allergies are acting up (rainy season, about half the year here) because it is the only antihistamine I have found that I can take in the day and still take Benadryl at night, because unfortunately a big part of my allergy symptoms is itching all over. This does a decent job of helping with that (not as good as Benadryl but obviously you can't take that in the day) but it does a good job of helping with typical allergy symptoms like itchy eyes, nose and sneezing--which are worse in the day (and all over is worse at night) for me so the combination works for me. I just wish it were easier to find and cheaper or at least had a generic version: none of which I have ever found. Disclaimer: Of course anybody planning any combo of meds would have to speak with their own doctor of pharmacist.

Good for allergies
They are good for allergies. My only issue is that I was sent a box that expires in 1 week. Received the last week in August and expiration date on box reads Aug 2020. Disappointed 😞

Absolutely NO flavor & disolves in moist food!
Therefore perfect for treating my cat's chronic kitty virus congestion (a rescue hazard). Other antihistamines taste awful to him and. Its a struggle to force the issue of swallowing, he's wise to the treat and spits out the pill. No issue whatsoever with a daily 1/2 a Redi-tab, sliced further into tid -bits dispersed in his chicken pate. Dissolves instantly, and done. Economical too compared to prescription cat topicals applied to the ear at $60 for an applicator full that barely lasts 40 days. Still a struggle to apply, a mess & less effective). I am happy to take the cheap bulk on-line antihistamines I had bought for my cat myself, and keep him supplied with these. Not always available in pharmacies (must be Redi-tabs).

My Go-To Allergy Med...
Recommended by my doctor for good reason, because not all antihistamines are the same. A different allergy med I had previously started taking (recommended by a friend!) was actually CAUSING me to have wheezing, lung and breathing problems; shortness of breath and dizziness, along with nasal, sinus and ear problems, making it SEEM like I had develped late-life asthma when I really didn't have asthma at all. It had caused me several Urgent Care visits to the doctor until we finally figured out that it was the allergy med I was taking that had started the series of problems--some of which were truly serious. Who knew? Since changing to Claritin, however, all those previous asthma-type problems immediately disappeared and I haven't had to use an albuterol inhaler at all.So for me, this works extremely well with no adverse side effects . I also like these 12-hour RediTabs because they work immediately, they're non-drowsy and keep me going through the daytime hours, yet by bedtime, it wears off so I can take a drowsy-inducing antihistamine so I can sleep at night. For me, it's better than the 24-hour RediTabs. Amazon doesn't always have these on Prime--or at a reasonable price--so I've found that some of the well-known chain drugstores can get them to my home not only cheaper but even FASTER than Amazon Prime--and with free shipping if I buy two of these at a time. It's also a good idea to read up on antihistamines--and ask you doctor and tell them which antihistamine you are taking--because there are so many kinds, and they are not all the same.
